The entries below are the seed codes and feature details documented for this guide; treat structure coordinates as edition- and version-sensitive rather than guaranteed results in a current world.
Before you use a Minecraft 1.20 seed
A seed is the code Minecraft uses to generate a world. The guide says terrain generation works on both Java and Bedrock, but structure generation does not. A village, temple, ruin, or Ancient City found at a listed coordinate in Java may be absent or moved in Bedrock.
- Use the intended Minecraft 1.20 release when possible.
- Confirm your edition before relying on any structure coordinate.
- Back up or test a world before starting a long survival playthrough. The coordinates below were reported by the 2024 guide and were not independently regenerated in current releases.
How to enter a seed
- Java Edition: choose Singleplayer, select Create New World, open the world settings, and enter the code in the Seed for the World Generator field.
- Bedrock Edition: choose Create New, open Advanced world settings, and enter the code in the seed field.
- Create the world, then use the in-game coordinate display to travel to any listed location. If a structure is missing, check the edition and exact game version before assuming the seed is wrong.

Choose 8061 for a combination of jungle, cherry trees, a temple and a desert village. -2593697944816429282 is the more focused choice if you want an island settlement framed by a Cherry Grove.

For archaeology
3525815545798372731 puts three Trail Ruins on the itinerary, making it the clearest choice for the archaeology features introduced in Minecraft 1.20. Structure locations should be checked in the edition you intend to play.
For dangerous exploration
4148062705 and 8764718009920 emphasize Ancient Cities. They suit players who want Deep Dark exploration and the risk of dealing with the Warden rather than a relaxed starter base.

For ocean discovery
14912264 is aimed at Warm Ocean Ruins and Sniffer-related exploration. 583779195398851081 offers a gentler coastal objective with a village, flower-filled spawn and a distant bay.

Why Java and Bedrock results can differ
The guide’s central warning is that terrain generation functions on both Java and Bedrock, while structure generation does not. Biomes, coastlines and broad mountain shapes may look familiar, but a temple, village, Trail Ruin, ocean ruin or Ancient City can generate differently. For that reason, a Java coordinate should not be advertised as a universal Bedrock location.

How to verify a seed before committing to survival
- Create a short test world in the exact edition and version you plan to use.
- Check the spawn biome and travel to one nearby landmark.
- For structure-focused seeds, verify every important location rather than assuming one successful landmark proves all coordinates.
- If the terrain looks right but a structure is missing, compare the game version first; the guide targets Minecraft 1.20 and does not identify one exact build for every seed.
Are these really the “best” seeds?
They are best understood as curated choices for different play styles. The guide is a list, not a controlled ranking: it does not establish a single score for distance, terrain quality, danger or structure density.
