HP’s OMEN 35L VALORANT Gaming Desktop Limited Edition is a real HP and Riot Games collaboration, announced on September 12, 2025. It adds VALORANT-specific case design and accessories to HP’s general-purpose OMEN 35L desktop, with U.S. configurations advertised up to an Intel Core i7-14700F, GeForce RTX 5080, 64GB of DDR5-6000 RGB memory and 4TB of PCIe NVMe storage. The RTX 5080 is a luxury for VALORANT rather than a requirement: the reason to buy this edition is its design, partnership branding and broader high-end capability.
What HP actually launched
HP calls the product the HP OMEN 35L VALORANT Gaming Desktop Limited Edition. It was developed with Riot Games as part of HP OMEN’s relationship with the VALORANT Champions Tour, which HP describes in its announcement at HP’s newsroom.
This is not a VALORANT-only computer or a system used by every professional player. It is an ordinary Windows gaming desktop platform with a VALORANT-themed exterior, included memorabilia and a range of hardware configurations.
Specifications: maximum versus entry hardware
HP’s U.S. material describes a configuration range rather than one fixed specification. “Up to RTX 5080” means that some systems use lower graphics cards.

HP’s configuration and review pages list the RTX 5060 as the starting graphics option, with 32GB or 64GB memory and 1TB or 4TB storage choices: HP’s product page and HP’s product review.
A Japan-specific example
Regional hardware is not identical. A Japanese specification sheet describes one RTX 5060 SKU with 8GB of GDDR7, 32GB of DDR5-4400 memory, a 1TB PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD, a 240mm liquid cooler, an 850W ATX 3.1 80 Plus Gold power supply, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, dimensions of approximately 210 × 408 × 410mm and weight of approximately 14.5kg. Those details apply to that Japanese SKU, not automatically to the maximum U.S. configuration. The document is available from HP Japan.

What makes this a VALORANT Edition?
The meaningful difference from a standard OMEN 35L is the physical treatment. HP describes VALORANT-inspired graphics and markings, references to in-game spray patterns and ultimate indicators, and a custom fan hub depicting the Spike. The design uses a navy-blue theme with a transparent side panel on at least some regional versions, and the package includes a magnetic VALORANT keychain.

Price, launch timing and availability
HP announced a U.S. starting price of $1,889.99 in its September 2025 launch announcement and said the desktop was available through HP.com at launch. Secondary launch coverage reported an October 10, 2025 shipping date; see PC Guide’s report.
That $1,889.99 figure is a historical launch price, not a confirmed August 2026 price. HP’s “up to RTX 5080” language confirms the advertised ceiling, but it does not guarantee that an RTX 5080 configuration is in stock or selectable in every country or on every date. Check the live HP configuration page for current price, inventory and the exact parts offered in your region.

Is an RTX 5080 excessive for VALORANT?
Yes, if VALORANT is the only reason you are buying the PC. Competitive play is usually better served by high, consistent frame rates, low input latency, a fast-refresh monitor, a capable CPU, stable networking and reliable cooling. The available material contains no controlled benchmark for this specific HP system, so there is no responsible basis for quoting an FPS average, 1% low or input-lag result.
An RTX 5080 can be justified when the desktop will also handle demanding modern games at high resolution, ray tracing, streaming and recording, video production, GPU-accelerated creative work or a future high-end display. It is not needed simply to run VALORANT, and it should not be presented as required for 240Hz or 4K play.

Which configuration makes sense?
Competitive VALORANT player
Choose the least expensive sensible configuration, beginning with the RTX 5060 option where it is available. Put the savings toward a high-refresh monitor, a good mouse and keyboard, and dependable networking. The themed chassis is the purchase’s main premium, not a measurable VALORANT advantage.
Mixed-library gamer
A midrange configuration is a more balanced choice if you also play modern games at 1440p. Select memory and storage based on your wider library rather than assuming the flagship graphics option is necessary.
Creator, high-end gamer or collector
The RTX 5080 version makes sense only when demanding games, high-resolution displays, streaming, creative workloads or the desire for the flagship edition justify the premium. Confirm that the exact RTX 5080 configuration is selectable and available before paying for it.

- A distinctive limited-edition appearance instead of a standard black OMEN case.
- A ready-made desktop with HP’s support and warranty structure.
- The option of substantially more memory, storage and graphics performance than VALORANT requires.
For maximum performance per dollar, a conventional desktop may offer better-selected components at the same budget. For a fan or collector, the design and collaboration status can be worth more than a small difference in game performance.
Verdict
The OMEN 35L VALORANT Limited Edition is a stylish, legitimate HP/Riot collaboration with serious hardware behind its themed exterior. HP advertises configurations up to an i7-14700F and RTX 5080, but the flagship GPU is broader gaming and productivity headroom—not a VALORANT requirement. Buy the lower configuration if you mainly play VALORANT; consider the RTX 5080 only for a mixed game library, creator work, high-resolution displays or the collector appeal of the top model.
