Amazon briefly listed selected Sony DualSense Wireless Controllers for $54.99 on November 24, 2025, down from the deal report’s stated regular price of $74.99. That was about $20 off, or 26.7%, but the offer was limited to some colors and should be treated as a historical deal unless the retailer confirms a new live discount.

Sony lists one controller and a user manual in the box. A USB cable is not included with the standalone controller, so you may need the cable supplied with your PS5 or a separate USB-C cable.

A ready backup
Keeping a charged spare avoids interruptions when your main controller has stick drift, worn buttons or a depleted battery.
PC, Mac and mobile use
Sony supports DualSense with PS5, Windows PC, Mac and mobile devices. Basic input is not the same as full feature support: haptics and adaptive triggers work only in select compatible PC games. Who should buy and who should wait?
Buy when
- You need a second or replacement PS5 controller.
- Your preferred color is actually priced at or near $54.99.
- The listing is new, from a reputable seller and has an acceptable return policy.
- You want Sony’s official haptics and adaptive triggers.
Wait or compare when
- Your current controller works and you have no immediate need.
- Only an unwanted color reaches the discount price.
- The listing is used, refurbished or sold by an unfamiliar third party.
- The old deal page no longer shows a confirmed live price.
- A bundle with a charging station or cable provides better total value.
Standard DualSense versus DualSense Edge
The reported deal is for the standard DualSense. The DualSense Edge is a separate premium model aimed at players who specifically want features such as replaceable stick modules, back buttons and deeper customization. It is not a like-for-like value alternative to a discounted standard controller.
Practical checks before checkout
- Confirm the product title says DualSense Wireless Controller, not DualSense Edge.
- Verify the exact color and whether it is new, used or refurbished.
- Check the seller, fulfillment method, return policy and delivery date.
- Review the final total after shipping, taxes and any membership conditions.
- Make sure you have a USB-C cable if you need to charge the controller away from the PS5.
Verdict
At $54.99, the November 2025 offer was a strong buy for a PS5 owner who needed a second or replacement controller. It was still a meaningful discount at $59.99, but neither price applied to every color. Because the promotion is historical and the accessible listing does not establish a current $55 price, treat any present-day purchase as a new deal only after verifying the live retailer page and checkout total.
