Mana was a real U.S. fintech product for adult gamers: it paired a checking account and Visa debit card with points and gaming-related rewards. It launched in 2022, but available evidence indicates that its banking services were wound down and its app listings removed. The closure evidence is largely from third-party app archives, not a current official shutdown notice, so treat Mana as apparently discontinued—not as a service you can reliably sign up for today. Mana Interactive’s gamer app is also separate from Mana Pacific, a different fintech.
What was the Mana App?
Mana Interactive’s Mana—also called Mana – Finance for Gamers—was a fintech rewards platform built around a checking account and Visa debit card. It was not a video game, cryptocurrency wallet, or bank in its own right. The product combined everyday banking with rewards aimed at gamers, including points tied to eligible purchases and, in some cases, connected gaming activity. Mana’s October 2022 launch announcement described the checking account, card, and rewards program, with banking supplied through MVB Bank, Member FDIC, and rewards operated by Mana Interactive. The idea was to make gaming-related spending and participation part of a banking rewards program. Its practical value depended on which merchants, games, subscriptions, and redemptions qualified—and on the account tier. It was a debit account, not a credit line; opening it did not itself mean a user was borrowing or building credit.
Is the original Mana app still available?
Available evidence indicates that Mana’s consumer banking service was materially wound down and that the original app is no longer a viable option for new users. The dates below come from a launch announcement and third-party app archives; they do not amount to a current official closure statement from Mana Interactive or its bank partner.

- October 4, 2022: Mana announced the public launch of its checking account, Visa debit card, and rewards app for iOS and Android. Source.
- April 30, 2024: Soft112’s archived information for app version 2.2.17 reportedly said banking services were ending, with transaction lists and monthly statements remaining accessible. Archived app information.
- May 28, 2024: AppBrain reports that the Android listing was removed from Google Play. AppBrain listing.
- March 10, 2026: Soft112 reports that the iOS listing was removed from Apple’s App Store. Soft112 report.
No current official consumer signup or active app listing was located in the available information dated August 16, 2026. An old installation may still open, but that does not establish that account, card, or rewards functions work. Do not rely on old launch pages or archived downloads as proof that the service is operating.
How did Mana’s rewards work?
Mana advertised points for eligible ordinary purchases, enhanced earning categories for gaming purchases and gaming or entertainment subscriptions, and points connected to supported gameplay when a user linked eligible gamer accounts. Points could be redeemed through the Mana Shop for items such as game keys, gift cards, in-game currency, hardware, and subscriptions. A launch-era infographic advertised 1× points for “everything else,” 3× for gaming purchases, and 5× for gaming and entertainment subscriptions. Mana Pro was the product’s paid tier. Launch-era materials advertised it at $119.95 per year (about $9.99 per month), while early-access or waitlist offers were about $69.95. The discounted figure appears with a one-cent difference in different materials, so it is best treated as an approximate historical offer rather than a definitive price. Pro was promoted with boosted rewards, exclusive perks, and a metal card; specific offers mentioned services or benefits associated with Surfshark VPN, Discord, FirstBlood, FitGMR, or Aim Lab. Was Mana a bank, and were deposits FDIC-insured?
Mana Interactive was a fintech, not the insured depository institution. Historical launch materials named MVB Bank, Inc., Member FDIC, as the provider of the Mana checking account; the Visa debit card was issued under a Visa license. Mana Interactive operated the rewards program. The distinction matters: the app and rewards were associated with the fintech, while qualifying deposits were held through the partner-bank arrangement. FDIC insurance applies to eligible deposits at an insured bank under applicable ownership rules and limits; it does not automatically insure a fintech company, rewards points, promotional credits, or every claim against a fintech. The FDIC’s general standard coverage is at least $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each ownership category. That is not a blanket guarantee for every balance shown in an app. For any specific account or remaining funds, consult the account agreement and confirm which bank holds the deposit. Who was eligible to use Mana?
Historical launch and beta materials described the service as a U.S. product for people at least 18 years old. Applicants also had to pass identity and account-opening checks and were subject to transaction, withdrawal, and other account limits. A gaming focus did not make the account available to minors. - Download Mana’s official app and apply for an account.
- Meet the U.S. age and eligibility requirements and complete identity verification.
- Receive or activate the Mana Visa debit card.
- Connect supported gamer accounts where that feature was available.
- Use the card for eligible purchases and earn points according to the applicable category and account tier.
- Redeem eligible points through the Mana Shop.
This is a description of the historical workflow, not instructions that are known to work now. The app’s reported wind-down means a former user should not assume that installing an archived copy restores banking access.
What should former Mana users do?
- Save records: Download statements and transaction history if they remain accessible, and keep copies of relevant account emails and agreements.
- Check prior notices: Look for account-closure, funds-transfer, card, or servicing instructions sent by Mana or the bank.
- Use verified support: Contact the channel shown in prior account correspondence or the account agreement. If funds remain inaccessible, identify the bank named there and use its official support process.
- Avoid unofficial recovery routes: Do not install an APK from a mirror or pay an “unlock” service. The FDIC warns that fake banking apps can contain malware; check the source and be wary of requests for unnecessary permissions. FDIC guidance on banking apps.
- Protect account information: Do not give login credentials, one-time codes, full card numbers, or Social Security numbers to third-party recovery services.
Mana Interactive and Mana Pacific are different products
Search results may also show Mana Pacific. Its public materials describe a separate fintech serving Pacific Islanders and people with Pacific connections in the United States, not the gamer-focused rewards account. Mana Pacific names Evolve Bank & Trust as its banking partner; Mana Interactive’s historical launch materials named MVB Bank. Nothing in the available information establishes Mana Pacific as a successor to the gamer app.

Can you sign up for Mana now?
New users should not assume that they can open a Mana Interactive account. The apparent wind-down and reported removal of app listings mean the old gamer banking product is not a dependable current banking option. If you need an account now, choose a currently available bank or fintech only after checking its official terms, bank partner, eligibility rules, and deposit-insurance disclosures. Mana Pacific should be considered separately on its own terms, not as the continuation of Mana’s gaming rewards program.
