Xbox says most, not all, Game Pass games are available from the cloud, and availability varies by region, plan and time. The live Xbox cloud catalog is the reliable way to see what your account can launch today.
Scope: This article covers Xbox games streamed through Xbox Cloud Gaming on supported Android devices. They are not necessarily Android apps from Google Play. It excludes Remote Play from a console you own and games that are not cloud playable. Xbox’s live catalog mixes subscription titles with games that may require a separate purchase, so check the listing before you play.
Catalog checked: U.S. Xbox cloud catalog examples surfaced on August 16, 2026. They are examples, not a verified complete list; titles and subscription status can change after that date.
Where to find every cloud game currently available
There is no stable, complete list that can be copied once and treated as current. Xbox’s catalog changes, and its cloud page can show both games included with a subscription and games that can be streamed after purchase. Use the live Xbox cloud catalog, signed in with the Microsoft account you will use to play, and check each game’s Play with Game Pass or purchase/ownership label.

The following titles appeared in Xbox cloud-page results surfaced on August 16, 2026. Their appearance is not proof that each was included with U.S. Game Pass Ultimate on that date: the results can include stream-your-own-game listings. Check the live catalog for current inclusion, region and edition before counting a game as part of your subscription.

What counts as a Game Pass game you can play on Android?
Included with Ultimate and cloud playable
A game belongs in this category only when it is both included with the subscriber’s plan and marked as playable through Xbox Cloud Gaming in their region. Having a place in the broader Game Pass library is not enough: Xbox says most Game Pass titles are cloud playable, not all. Some games may be console- or PC-only, leave the catalog, or be unavailable in a particular region.
Cloud playable after purchase
Xbox also allows streaming of select games that a player owns or buys, even when they are not included with Game Pass. Those titles can appear in the cloud catalog, but they are not an Ultimate subscription benefit. Check whether the game is labeled as included or requires ownership or purchase before launching.

Free-to-play cloud games
Some supported free-to-play games, including Fortnite, can be streamed with a free Microsoft account in supported regions. They are a separate access category, not proof that a game is included in Ultimate. Check the live catalog for the current free-to-play selection.
What this list excludes
- Native Android games installed from Google Play.
- Xbox Remote Play, which streams games installed on your own Xbox console rather than the cloud catalog.
- PC-only or console-only Game Pass titles without a cloud-play option.
- DLC, add-ons, demos and trials rather than full games.
Xbox’s cloud gaming page describes Ultimate as including 500+ games across console, PC and other supported devices, along with day-one releases and other benefits. That overall plan count is not the Android cloud-game count.

How to play Xbox Cloud Gaming on an Android phone or tablet
- Check compatibility. Xbox currently lists Android OS 12 or later for cloud gaming on phones and tablets. Device and regional support may be more specific; consult Xbox’s mobile gaming information.
- Open a supported browser. Xbox lists Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome among supported browsers for cloud play.
- Go to xbox.com/play. The Xbox mobile app can help you browse and manage games, but Xbox’s Android cloud-play instructions direct you to the browser.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account that has the active Game Pass Ultimate subscription, or with the account that owns a separately streamable game.
- Choose a title from the cloud catalog. Verify whether it is included, requires purchase or ownership, and is available in your region.
- Connect a controller or choose a touch-enabled title, then select Play and wait for the streaming session to start.
The game runs on Xbox servers: your device receives the video and audio stream and sends your inputs back over the network. You do not install the console game as an Android app.
Do you need a controller?
No, not for every game. Selected cloud games offer Xbox touch controls. Look for the “Play with touch” label or touch icon in the catalog; touch support is title-specific, so do not assume it applies to every game or every mode.

For games built around analog sticks, precise aiming, fast reactions or many simultaneous inputs—such as many shooters, racing games and fighting games—a compatible physical controller is usually the more practical option. Xbox says supported controllers can connect by Bluetooth or wired connection and includes Xbox, PlayStation and other verified controllers among its options. Device and browser
Xbox’s current general guidance lists Android OS 12 or later for cloud gaming on phones and tablets. Meeting the OS requirement alone does not guarantee that every device will work well: device support, browser compatibility, region, memory, battery management and Wi-Fi or cellular hardware can all matter. Xbox directs players to its mobile support information for the current supported-device and region details.
Connection
Xbox lists a minimum download speed of 10 Mbps to start cloud play and recommends 20 Mbps or higher on phones and tablets. It also recommends 5GHz Wi-Fi or mobile data for the best experience. These are Xbox’s guidance figures, not guarantees of smooth play: latency, jitter, packet loss, congestion and the route from your location to the service affect responsiveness and image quality. Why a game may be missing or unavailable
- It is not cloud enabled. Game Pass availability on console or PC does not automatically mean cloud availability.
- Your plan does not include it. The cloud catalog can include games available through ownership or purchase instead of subscription access.
- The catalog changed. Games can join or leave Game Pass, and licensing or publisher availability can change.
- Your region differs. Catalogs and cloud service availability are not identical everywhere.
- Your account or session is the issue. Confirm you are signed in to the correct account and that its subscription is active.
- The service is busy or temporarily unavailable. Xbox notes that server availability and wait times can vary.
Troubleshooting launch and streaming problems
- Confirm the account has active Game Pass Ultimate, or verify that you own the game if the listing requires it.
- Recheck the game’s current cloud and subscription labels in the live catalog.
- Confirm cloud gaming is supported in your region and that the title is available there.
- Update Android and your browser, then try another supported browser such as Edge or Chrome.
- If Wi-Fi is congested, try a 5GHz network; close downloads and other bandwidth-heavy apps.
- Restart the browser or device and launch the game again.
- If Xbox shows a queue or service issue, wait and retry; queue time and availability can vary.
Is Game Pass Ultimate a good fit for Android gaming?
Cloud play can provide access to supported console games without installing large game files or owning an Xbox console. It is most useful when the titles you want are in your region’s cloud catalog and you have a reliable connection. It is a poor fit if you need offline Android downloads, have unstable internet, or mainly want games that are not cloud playable. Cloud streaming can also limit some game features, peripherals or resolution options compared with local play.
