Yes. The Logitech G432 works with Xbox One for stereo game audio and voice chat when connected to a compatible Xbox controller’s 3.5mm headset jack. Its PC USB DAC, DTS Headphone:X 2.0 processing, and G HUB sound controls are not part of that standard Xbox connection. If your controller lacks a headset jack, you’ll need a separate Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.
How to connect the G432 to Xbox One
Use the G432’s console/PC cable to connect the headset to the controller. Logitech’s Xbox setup instructions call for connecting the boom mic and cable before plugging into the controller.
- Plug the detachable boom microphone into the headset.
- Connect the console/PC cable to the headset. Do not put the PC splitter between the headset and controller.
- Plug the cable’s 3.5mm end into the controller’s headset jack.
- Lower the microphone boom; flipping it up mutes the mic.
- Adjust volume with the headset’s control, then test game audio and party chat.
The G432 package includes a USB audio adapter and a PC splitter, but neither is the normal Xbox One connection path. Logitech’s G432 manual documents the included accessories and controls.
Does your controller need an adapter?
Check the controller, not just the console model. Xbox One controllers with a built-in 3.5mm headset jack can connect directly; some older controllers lack that port and need a separate Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter. Logitech notes this distinction in its console setup guidance. The G432’s included USB DAC is not a substitute for the Xbox adapter.

What works—and what doesn’t—on Xbox One
| Feature | Xbox One result |
|---|---|
| Game audio | Stereo audio over the controller’s analog 3.5mm connection. |
| Party chat and microphone | Supported over the same connection when the boom mic is plugged in and not flipped up to mute. |
| Headset volume control | Available through the headset’s physical control. |
| G432 USB DAC and DTS Headphone:X 2.0 | Not enabled through the standard Xbox controller setup. |
| G HUB EQ and software tuning | Not available through the Xbox controller connection. |
Logitech specifies stereo mode for Xbox and PlayStation over the analog cable and says G HUB features such as EQ and DTS Headphone:X 2.0 are unavailable through that console connection. Its separate DTS setup instructions use the USB DAC with G HUB on a computer.
That distinction matters if you bought the headset for “7.1” or surround branding: the G432’s own USB/DTS processing is a PC feature, not what you get from plugging it into an Xbox controller. Xbox has its own spatial-audio options for compatible headsets, but those should not be confused with the G432’s PC USB-DTS mode. Microsoft’s Xbox Wireless Headset information describes Xbox spatial-audio support in the context of that product.

Microphone compatibility versus microphone quality
The G432 microphone is compatible with Xbox One through the analog controller connection. That says nothing by itself about how good it sounds. In its G432 review, SoundGuys judged the microphone unimpressive compared with stronger gaming-headset microphones. Treat that as a quality caveat, not evidence that the mic cannot work on Xbox; performance can also depend on the particular headset, cable, controller, and chat setup.
Troubleshoot missing audio or chat
No game audio
- Check that the console/PC cable is seated at both the headset and controller ends, then reseat the 3.5mm plug firmly.
- Make sure you are not using the PC splitter between the headset and controller.
- Confirm that the controller has a headset jack. If it does not, use a compatible Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter.
- Check the G432’s physical volume control.
- If the problem continues, try another compatible controller or headset to help isolate whether the issue is the G432, its cable, or the controller.
Microphone not working
- Verify that the boom mic is fully inserted and lowered rather than flipped up.
- Reseat the cable and check that the controller recognizes the headset.
- Try another controller or test whether the issue is limited to one party-chat account or setup.
These are practical connection checks; they do not require installing Logitech G HUB on Xbox. Logitech documents G HUB and USB-DAC setup as the computer route for surround configuration.

Is the G432 a sensible Xbox One purchase?
It makes sense if you want a wired headset for stereo game audio and chat, don’t mind connecting to the controller, and find the G432 at a meaningful discount. Logitech lists Xbox One among its supported consoles. Its wired design avoids charging and wireless pairing, and the same headset can serve other platforms with the appropriate connection.
Be more cautious if your priority is strong microphone performance, wireless Xbox use, or console-side control of the G432’s advertised PC audio features. The G432 is an older model, so current stock, warranty terms, replacement parts, and prices vary by retailer and region. Check what accessories are included in the specific listing, especially if you also plan to use its PC features.

Alternatives to consider
| Headset | Why consider it | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| HyperX Cloud III Wired | HyperX lists Xbox One compatibility and 3.5mm, USB-A, and USB-C connections; worth considering for a newer wired multi-platform option. | Do not assume its USB functions all work on Xbox; evaluate its controller analog connection for Xbox One. |
| Xbox Wireless Headset | Microsoft lists Xbox One support, Xbox Accessories app controls, spatial audio, and up to 20 hours of battery life. | Wireless use means charging, unlike the G432’s wired controller connection. |
| Xbox Stereo Headset | A straightforward first-party wired option that connects to a compatible controller’s 3.5mm jack and supports Xbox One. | It does not offer the G432’s PC USB-DAC workflow. |
These options serve different priorities rather than establishing a universal upgrade. For more models, Microsoft maintains an Xbox headset catalog; compare the specific Xbox connection and features you need rather than assuming that a USB connection or surround label guarantees console support.
