If Cookie Jam will not open, is stuck on its splash screen, crashes, or fails in a browser, start with the reversible fixes: check the connection, update the game, force-close it, restart the device, and try again. If Facebook or Google sign-in is involved, reconnect the correct account only after noting your player information. Browser players should clear Cookie Jam and Facebook site data, use an updated browser at 100% zoom, and test another browser. Do not clear app storage or reinstall until you are confident that your progress is synchronized.
Identify where Cookie Jam is failing
“Not loading” can describe several different faults. Identify the closest symptom before changing anything:
- The mobile app will not open at all.
- The Jam City or Cookie Jam splash screen never finishes.
- A spinner or loading bar stops indefinitely.
- The game opens, but a level or event will not load.
- The app freezes or crashes immediately.
- The screen is black, blank, distorted, or only partly rendered.
- A browser reports a file, JavaScript, or display error.
- Facebook authentication loops or returns to the loading screen.
Cookie Jam and Cookie Jam Blast are separate products with separate support areas. These steps concern Cookie Jam; Blast users should use its dedicated help center.
Safe checks for every device
- Test the connection. Open another app or website, then switch between Wi-Fi and cellular data where available. If other devices also have trouble, restart the router. Temporarily disable a VPN, DNS filter, ad blocker, restrictive firewall, or data-saving mode that may block the game. Keep the device date and time set automatically.
- Update Cookie Jam. Open the Apple App Store or Google Play, search for Cookie Jam, and install Update if it appears. Jam City lists updating as the first mobile check; do not rely on an old version number from a review. The official Google Play listing is here.
- Force-close the game. Exit Cookie Jam, remove it from the recent-apps or app-switcher view (or use the operating system’s force-stop control), and close other resource-heavy apps. Force-closing is not the same as deleting the app and normally does not erase saved data.
- Restart the device. Power it off, wait at least 10 seconds, turn it on, allow startup to finish, and launch Cookie Jam again. This is part of Jam City’s published sequence.
- Check storage and system updates. Free space if the device is nearly full, and install pending iOS/iPadOS, Android, Google Play system, or manufacturer updates.
Jam City’s baseline mobile instructions are documented in its “My game is not loading” article. That page is marked as last updated 1496 days ago, so menu names and technical assumptions may differ on current devices.

Cookie Jam not loading on Android
Clear cache, not storage
After updating and restarting, open the device’s app settings. A common path is Settings → Apps → Cookie Jam → Storage → Clear cache. Samsung, Pixel, Motorola, and other Android versions may use different labels. Reopen the game after clearing the cache.
Clear storage, Clear data, or an equivalent option is more destructive: it removes local app data and may require a new sign-in. Use it only after confirming that progress is linked to the correct Facebook or Google account, or when Jam City support specifically advises it.
Check Android services and resources
- Confirm that free storage is available.
- Install pending Android and Google Play system updates.
- Make sure Google Play Services and the Play Store open and update normally.
- Disable overlays, screen recorders, or aggressive battery and data restrictions temporarily.
Cookie Jam not loading on iPhone or iPad
iOS and iPadOS generally do not provide the same direct “clear cache” control as Android. Force-close Cookie Jam, restart the device, update the app and operating system, and check available storage instead. Confirm that the device is signed in to the Apple account used to obtain the app.

If you consider offloading or reinstalling, first verify that Cookie Jam opens elsewhere with the same linked account or record the player ID and account details from the game’s settings. Do not assume that an iCloud backup alone represents synchronized game progress.
Browser and Facebook troubleshooting
- Refresh the page, then clear Cookie Jam and Facebook site data, cache, and cookies. Clearing all browser data can sign you out of unrelated sites, so target the relevant sites where possible.
- Close and reopen the browser.
- Update the browser and, where applicable, device graphics or browser drivers.
- Return browser zoom or view to 100%.
- Temporarily disable extensions, especially ad blockers, script blockers, privacy tools, and VPN extensions.
- Try a private/incognito window.
- Try another current browser; Jam City’s published guidance specifically recommends Google Chrome.
For a Facebook-only failure, update Facebook, test another Facebook game, and confirm that other websites load. Facebook recommends a reliable Wi-Fi or data connection, closing and reopening the game, and contacting the developer when only one game is affected (Facebook’s troubleshooting guidance). Facebook says third-party games are managed by their developers, so game-specific problems should go to Jam City (Facebook developer-support guidance). Jam City also lists browser stability categories such as display and file errors in its stability section.
When Facebook or Google login is stuck
Authentication can hang when the wrong account is selected, a session token has expired, or the connection between the game and social account is damaged. If Cookie Jam opens far enough to show settings, record the player ID or other account information first.

Jam City’s mobile sequence includes disconnecting connected social accounts, restarting the device, and reconnecting the same, correct account. This may resolve an authentication loop, but it is not a guarantee of recovery. Do not switch between multiple Facebook or Google accounts while testing; doing so can make synchronized progress appear missing.
If Cookie Jam crashes, freezes, or shows a blank screen
- Update the game and operating system, then restart.
- Free storage and close background apps.
- Disable overlays and recording tools temporarily.
- On Android, clear cache only.
- For browser rendering problems, clear site data, set zoom to 100%, disable extensions, and test another browser.
- If a particular level or event triggers the crash, note its number and capture a recording or screenshot.
When contacting support, include the device model, operating-system version, Cookie Jam version if visible, network type, exact error or behavior, approximate start time, linked account, and whether any reinstall or data clearing has already occurred.

A failure on one device usually points to local network, cache, storage, account, or compatibility trouble. Compare Wi-Fi with cellular data and, if your account is linked, try another supported device or platform. Ask whether other players report the same symptom through Jam City’s official channels, but treat social posts and app-store reviews as reports—not proof of an outage.

If every device and connection fails at the same time, a service-side or account-server problem becomes more plausible. Do not call it a confirmed outage unless Jam City publishes an authoritative notice; reinstalling will not repair a server incident.

Will reinstalling Cookie Jam erase progress?
It can put unsynchronized local progress at risk. Do not uninstall, clear Android storage/data, or repeatedly change accounts until you have confirmed that progress is linked to the correct Facebook or Google account. If the game opens on another device, check whether levels and purchases appear there. If progress, coins, lives, or boosters disappear, stop making changes and contact Jam City; its support center has separate categories for reverted or mismatched levels, missing items, and Facebook connection problems.

Escalate when the app remains unusable after updating and restarting, the failure occurs across networks or devices, crashes persist, progress or purchases are at risk, or browser troubleshooting has failed. Use the official Cookie Jam contact routes for iOS, Android, Kindle, or web users. Jam City’s main Cookie Jam Help Center organizes stability, account, level, and missing-item topics.
Include:
- Device make and model.
- iOS/iPadOS or Android version.
- Cookie Jam app version, if visible.
- Whether the problem occurs on Wi-Fi, cellular data, or both.
- Exact loading behavior or error message.
- Approximate date and time the problem began.
- Player ID or account identifier, if available.
- Whether Facebook or Google is linked.
- Whether you cleared data or reinstalled.
- Screenshots or a screen recording.
