Its 6063-aluminum body, gold game-inspired keycaps, Journey to the West-themed backplate and version-specific accessories make it far more distinctive than a logo-printed gaming board. It also offers USB-C, 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, hot-swappable switches and QMK Launcher customization.
That visual treatment carries a premium: US prices listed by Keychron were $229.99 for the Standard version and $259.99 for either Deluxe switch option when checked on August 18, 2026. The official product page showed the keyboard unavailable/backordered at that time, so stock and price should be confirmed before ordering.
What the Black Myth: Wukong keyboard is
The product is Keychron’s Black Myth Wukong Wireless Mechanical Keyboard (SKU WKD-20), a compact 75% board. That layout keeps the function row and arrow cluster while removing the numeric keypad, saving desk space but making it less suitable for heavy spreadsheet or accounting work.
Keychron lists two versions: Standard and Deluxe. Both are offered with TTC Bluish White switches; the Deluxe page also lists TTC Golden Pink switches. The product is presented by Keychron as a game-themed collaboration. That establishes the design source, but it should not be confused with independent proof of broader licensing claims made by unrelated sellers.

Why it looks like a desk centerpiece
A metal chassis instead of a printed shell
Keychron specifies a full-metal 6063 aluminum chassis and describes CNC machining, polishing, sandblasting and additional finishing stages. The solid-looking case is the foundation of the showpiece effect, while the board’s colors remain visible with RGB lighting switched off.
Game-specific keycaps and backplate
The gold-painted, Cherry-profile PBT keycaps use dye sublimation and a stylized font modeled after the game interface. Beneath them, a decorative backplate depicts a Dragon Palace/Journey to the West-inspired scene. These are primarily aesthetic and collectible features, not evidence of lower latency or a different controller.

Different centerpiece for each edition
The Standard model has a functional “Destined One’s Eye” themed knob. The Deluxe model replaces that visual treatment with a gourd-shaped functional knob and includes an Ebongold Spaulder artisan keycap made from solid brass. Keychron says the first Deluxe batch was limited to 1,000 units; that does not establish that every Deluxe unit produced is limited to that number.

The documented Deluxe difference is physical decoration and collectibility. Keychron does not identify a faster controller, superior wireless system or fundamentally different typing experience for the Deluxe model, so the $30 premium should be judged on the brass keycap, gourd knob and presentation.
Is it a gaming keyboard or a collector’s keyboard?
It is a premium themed mechanical keyboard with gaming-capable features, rather than a competition-first esports board. The 2.4 GHz mode, manufacturer-claimed 1,000 Hz polling rate, RGB lighting, programmable firmware and replaceable switches cover the expected gaming functions.

The strongest differentiator is the physical design. Anyone choosing it for competitive play should compare measured latency, firmware reliability, battery endurance and software support with less expensive gaming keyboards. No independent measurements for those factors are established here, and Keychron’s polling figure remains a manufacturer specification.
Who should buy it?
- Collectors and fans: The chassis, backplate, brass accessory and themed controls make the entire object part of the display.
- Themed-desk builders: Gold, jade and mythological details remain distinctive even without RGB.
- Wireless 75% buyers: It combines a space-saving layout with wired, 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth operation.
- Value shoppers and esports-focused buyers: The premium is difficult to justify if appearance is unimportant or independently tested performance is the priority.
- Full-size users: The 75% layout has no dedicated number pad.
A cheaper way to get the look
If you already own a compatible mechanical keyboard, AltTabDesk lists a Black Myth Wukong Cherry-profile PBT keycap set for $96 when checked. It includes more than 140 keys, uses five-side dye sublimation and is advertised as fitting most MX-style switches. The listing was marked preorder and explicitly says it includes keycaps only, not the keyboard or props shown in its images: AltTabDesk product page.

Check your board before ordering. Bottom-row sizes, right Shift, stabilizer positions, north-facing interference, proprietary layouts and profile sculpting can all prevent a nominally MX-compatible set from fitting or feeling correct.
Availability and buying checks
Availability was checked on August 18, 2026. Keychron’s main product page showed the keyboard as unavailable/backordered and offered a “Notify Me When Available” option. It also stated that discount codes cannot be used for this keyboard. The alternate Keychron page displayed a different “from” price presentation, so select your region, version and switch before treating any figure as current.
- Confirm that the listing is for a complete keyboard, not keycaps or a single artisan key.
- Select the correct regional storefront, Standard or Deluxe version and switch option.
- Check stock, shipping, taxes, returns and warranty at checkout.
- Use Keychron’s product pages as the reference point; third-party stores that call merchandise “official” have not been independently verified here.

The Bottom Line
The Black Myth: Wukong keyboard is best understood as a premium desk centerpiece that happens to provide serious mechanical-keyboard functionality. Choose the Standard model for the core design, the Deluxe for its collectible brass and gourd details, or themed keycaps if you already have a suitable board. Wait for an official restock rather than paying an unverified seller solely for the promise of an “official” keyboard.
