There are five Gestral Beach games in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Win each activity to satisfy the Gestral Games trophy requirement; the hardest reward tiers are optional. The beaches are spread across the Continent, and guides sometimes number or describe their directions differently, so identify them by their activity and nearby landmark. The first is available early, swimming is needed for the middle-access beaches, and the final wall climb requires Esquie’s flight ability.

Compass descriptions conflict across published walkthroughs: the second beach is variously placed southeast of the first continent, northwest of it before coral, or northeast of Stone Wave Cliffs; the third is described south of Old Lumière or west of Monoco’s Station; and the fourth and fifth are consistently tied to Sirène, but with differing east/southeast wording. Use the in-game Continent map and the activity visible at the beach to confirm the pin.

1. Parkour obstacle course near Gestral Village
How to complete it
- Travel west of Gestral Village after the Floating Waters section makes the area reachable.
- Enter the marked course and follow the platforms, ramps and moving sections to the finish.
- Stay on the route: falling into the water fails the attempt and requires another run.
- Speak with the Gestral at the finish to collect the available outfit rewards.
One walkthrough says the Gestral’s question has the answer 17; another says any answer is accepted. Treat 17 as a guide suggestion, not a confirmed requirement. A guide also recommends trying Lune because it reports that she can float while running; that is an optional tip, not a documented rule.
2. Raft volleyball
How to return the baby Gestrals
- Reach the swimming-access beach after Esquie learns to swim. The exact compass direction varies among guides, so look for the raft arena and its opponent.
- Watch the side from which each baby Gestral approaches.
- Turn to face the incoming target, then use a melee attack to send it back.
- Attack slightly before contact. The melee strike has a short delay and hits in a cone in front of the character.
- Repeat until the current difficulty is cleared, then select a higher tier only if you want its extra reward.
The activity has multiple difficulty and reward levels. PowerPyx lists a Resplendent Chroma Catalyst for the easiest tier and Swimsuit II outfits for Lune and Sciel at higher tiers. Those tiers are separate from the trophy requirement.

3. Gestral Ascension
How to survive the climb
- Locate the long vertical course in the Old Lumière/Esoteric Ruins or Monoco’s Station region indicated by your Continent map.
- Climb from platform to platform, pausing to line up each jump rather than rushing the next movement.
- Recover your position after every landing before committing to a moving or narrow platform.
- A fall sends you back to the start, so treat the later sections as a checkpoint-free run.
- Reach the top and claim the game’s reward, including the reported Monoco swimsuit.
This is described as the longest of the five games. The safest approach is controlled movement: make one jump at a time and avoid unnecessary attempts to chain difficult transitions.
4. Timed race near Sirène
Route and time target
- Find the race beach around Sirène and activate the course.
- Sprint through every marker and avoid detours that cost seconds.
- At the final fork, the Steam walkthrough recommends taking the right branch.
- Finish in under 38 seconds for the reported gold result and Verso’s swimsuit.
The 38-second threshold is a walkthrough-reported target, not a separately published game statistic. If you only need the trophy, complete the race successfully; repeat it for the faster reward when your route and movement are consistent.

5. Wall climb south of the race beach
How to dodge the water balls
- Return to the area south of the race beach after Esquie can fly. In the Steam route, the final beach is behind the mountains and cannot be reached before flight.
- Begin the vertical climb and watch the lanes above you.
- Move laterally between lanes as falling water balls approach; staying in one lane is the main cause of avoidable hits.
- Continue upward after each hazard passes and reach the top to finish.
- Collect Maelle’s swimsuit from the completion reward.
Do you need every difficulty tier for the Gestral Games trophy?
No. The walkthroughs agree that winning each of the five games is enough for the Gestral Games trophy. The multilevel activities do not require their maximum difficulty for that achievement. Higher tiers remain worthwhile if you want the associated swimsuits, Swimsuit II outfits or material rewards, but they demand more precise play and repeat attempts.

Recommended order
- Complete the parkour beach near Gestral Village when it becomes available in Act 1.
- Return after Esquie gains swimming to reach the raft-volleyball beach and the other water-access areas.
- Clear Gestral Ascension when you are comfortable with long platforming sequences.
- Run the Sirène race, then repeat it for the sub-38-second reward if desired.
- After Esquie learns to fly, reach the southern beach and finish the wall climb.
Because map labels and numbering differ between walkthroughs, mark each completed beach by its activity name on your own map. That prevents confusing the race and wall-climb beaches, which are close together but have different ability requirements.
