When charging finishes, a powered-on PlayStation model breathes blue, while an Xbox model breathes green. If the headset is powered off, its LED turns off when full.
Because “Stealth 600” also includes Gen 2 MAX and newer generations, verify your exact model before applying these colors.

Check which Stealth 600 you have
Look at the headset or box label, the included transmitter, and the pairing method. PlayStation editions use a PlayStation transmitter; Xbox editions pair through Xbox Wireless. On supported models, Turtle Beach Audio Hub can also identify the headset. Gen 2 MAX and later Stealth 600 models may use different indicator behavior, so their manual takes priority.
Stealth 600 Gen 2 charging indicators
| Model and headset state | LED behavior | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Gen 2 PlayStation, plugged in | Solid red | Charging |
| Gen 2 PlayStation, powered on and full | Breathing blue | Fully charged |
| Gen 2 Xbox, plugged in | Solid red | Charging |
| Gen 2 Xbox, powered on and full | Breathing green | Fully charged |
| Either documented Gen 2 model, powered off and full | LED off | Fully charged |
“Breathing” means the light gradually brightens and dims. The official PlayStation guide documents these behaviors at Turtle Beach’s Stealth 600 Gen 2 PS Quick Start Guide; the Xbox behavior is documented in the Stealth 600 Gen 2 Xbox Quick Start Guide.

How to charge the headset
- Insert the included USB charging cable into the headset’s USB charge/update port.
- Connect the other end to a powered USB port or a compatible USB power adapter.
- Leave the headset connected and watch the headset LED.
- Use the model-specific full-charge indication in the table above.
The Gen 2 PlayStation and Xbox guides identify a USB-C charge cable and USB charge/update port. You do not need to leave the headset powered on: when a powered-off Gen 2 headset reaches full charge, the LED is expected to turn off.
What the other LED patterns mean
Breathing red
On both documented Gen 2 versions, breathing red indicates a low battery, not a full one. See the PlayStation guide or Xbox guide.
Solid blue or solid green while not charging
These colors can indicate wireless pairing or connection rather than battery level. Interpret the LED together with whether the USB cable is connected; do not use a pairing light as proof that the battery is full.
LED off
An extinguished LED can be normal after a powered-off Gen 2 headset finishes charging. If the headset has not had time to charge and will not power on, investigate the cable, power source, battery, or hardware instead.

Basic checks
- Reseat both ends of the charging cable.
- Try another powered USB port.
- Try the included cable or another known-compatible cable.
- Use a USB power adapter if the console or computer port may not be supplying power reliably.
- Test once with the headset powered on and once powered off.
- Leave it connected for a while before testing power again.
Gen 2 Xbox stuck-red condition
Turtle Beach documents a specific unresponsive solid-red problem for some Gen 2 Xbox units. With that exact model, hold Connect and Mode together for 30 seconds, release them only after the full press, and power the headset on normally. Then update firmware through Turtle Beach Audio Hub. This reset is not a universal procedure for every Stealth 600 generation. Follow the Gen 2 Xbox hard-reset instructions.
Update firmware
For supported Gen 2 headsets, use Turtle Beach Audio Hub on Windows or Mac to install firmware updates and customize controls. The Xbox procedure is described in Turtle Beach’s Audio Hub instructions.
Battery life and storage
The official Gen 2 PlayStation and Xbox guides list up to 15 hours of rechargeable battery life. That is operating time, not a promised charging duration; volume, microphone use, wireless activity, firmware, and battery condition can affect practical runtime. No universal full-charge time is established by these guides.
Before storing the headset for an extended period, including more than three months, charge it first. Do not store it above 113°F (45°C), as advised in the Gen 2 guides.
