NVIDIA announced 14 games for GeForce NOW’s January 2026 slate. Five were listed as available in the first weekly update; the rest were scheduled for later in the month, including four without a specific day. The announcement is a calendar of planned catalog additions—not 14 games included with a GeForce NOW membership.
Which games were in GeForce NOW’s January slate?
NVIDIA’s January 1, 2026 announcement named five games available in its first update, five with specific later-January dates, and four more for January without an exact date. The storefront column identifies the access route NVIDIA listed; you still need the relevant game ownership or subscription entitlement.
| Game | NVIDIA’s stated timing | Storefront or access route |
|---|---|---|
| My Winter Car | Available in the first update; Steam release listed as December 29 | Steam |
| Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden | Available in the first update | Xbox; PC Game Pass |
| The Casting of Frank Stone | Available in the first update | Xbox; PC Game Pass |
| Eternights | Available in the first update | Epic Games Store |
| Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 | Available in the first update | Epic Games Store |
| StarRupture | January 6, 2026 | Steam |
| Pathologic 3 | January 9, 2026 | Steam |
| Quarantine Zone: The Last Check | January 12, 2026 | Steam |
| MIO: Memories in Orbit | January 20, 2026 | Steam; Xbox and PC Game Pass |
| Nova Roma | January 22, 2026 | Steam |
| Guild Wars: Reforged | January; no exact day stated | Steam |
| Mon Bazou | January; no exact day stated | Steam |
| Supermarket Simulator | January; no exact day stated | Xbox; PC Game Pass |
| Tavern Keeper | January; no exact day stated | Steam |
Timing and storefronts are as NVIDIA listed them in its January 1 announcement. These are historical scheduled dates, not confirmation that every rollout happened on time or that each edition is currently playable in every region.
What was available in the first update?
NVIDIA marked My Winter Car, Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden, The Casting of Frank Stone, Eternights, and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 as available in the first update. The announcement identifies the latter as an Epic Games Store title and RTX 5080-ready; that hardware label does not promise a particular frame rate or graphics setting.

Which games had later dates, and which were undated?
NVIDIA assigned January 6 to StarRupture, January 9 to Pathologic 3, January 12 to Quarantine Zone: The Last Check, January 20 to MIO: Memories in Orbit, and January 22 to Nova Roma. Its announcement put Guild Wars: Reforged, Mon Bazou, Supermarket Simulator, and Tavern Keeper in the January slate without assigning a day. Do not read the monthly window as a confirmed launch date for those four.
Why isn’t Factorio part of the 14?
NVIDIA mentioned Factorio separately under “RTX 5080-Ready Games.” It was not included in the 14 January additions: the five first-update titles plus the nine later titles make the announced slate. RTX 5080-ready describes support for the high-end cloud hardware, not a guaranteed result across every device, game, display, connection, or membership.

Does GeForce NOW include these games?
No. GeForce NOW provides cloud gaming access; it does not generally give members ownership of paid games. Depending on the title, you need the supported Steam or Epic Games Store edition, or the appropriate Xbox/PC Game Pass entitlement. The service connects supported libraries such as Steam, Epic Games Store, GOG, PC Game Pass, and Ubisoft Connect, but a game appearing in a PC store does not by itself mean its edition is supported on GeForce NOW. Check the exact storefront and edition in the app or NVIDIA’s catalog before buying.
NVIDIA describes a catalog of more than 4,500 PC games and lists Install-to-Play separately. That feature is available to Performance and Ultimate members and expands access to eligible titles, subject to publisher participation and technical compatibility; it does not provide the game for free. See NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW page and membership details for the service’s current terms.

Which membership makes sense?
Choose based on how often you play, what display you use, and whether your network can benefit from higher stream quality—not simply because a game appears on the list.
- Free/basic access: A way to try supported games without paying for a premium membership. It does not remove the need to own the game or have a qualifying subscription.
- Performance: The more practical premium choice for many players targeting ordinary 1080p or 1440p play, priority access, and longer sessions without needing the top cloud hardware.
- Ultimate: Best suited to users who can use higher refresh rates, RTX features, or the highest-end cloud hardware. NVIDIA advertises up to 5K at 120 fps and up to 360 fps in supported scenarios; actual capability depends on the game, device, display, connection, and plan.
- Day Pass: A 24-hour premium option for testing latency or playing briefly without a monthly commitment. NVIDIA says its cost can be applied toward the first month of membership.
Performance and Ultimate memberships have a 100-hour monthly playtime allowance, with up to 15 unused hours eligible to roll over, according to NVIDIA’s FAQ. Once the allowance is reached, members can buy additional premium hours or continue with the basic free-user experience until the reset. The FAQ says Install-to-Play access remains available after April 30, 2026, even without purchasing additional premium time. Check the GeForce NOW FAQ for the applicable details. Heavy players should account for the cap before upgrading.

What connection and device do you need?
NVIDIA recommends wired Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi and latency below 80 milliseconds to a GeForce NOW data center. Its bandwidth guidance runs from about 15 Mbps for HD streaming at up to 60 fps to 65 Mbps for 5K at 120 fps. Higher resolution and frame-rate targets need more bandwidth, and meeting a speed figure cannot eliminate latency from distance, congestion, or local network problems. The system requirements explain supported devices, stream capabilities, and controllers; TV play generally requires a compatible gamepad, with Xbox and PlayStation DualSense/DualShock 4 among the listed families.
If the game does not appear or performs poorly, first check the storefront edition and account link, whether the rollout or regional availability applies, and whether your selected stream settings suit your connection. Try Ethernet or 5 GHz Wi-Fi, pause other bandwidth-heavy activity, and check VPN, display, and game settings. NVIDIA may provide service directly or through an Alliance Partner, so regional availability and service terms can differ; its Terms of Use describe that distinction.

What else did NVIDIA announce around January?
January CES coverage discussed a Linux PC app in development/early beta, a native Amazon Fire TV app, flight-control and HOTAS support, Gaijin single sign-on, and further platform and game support. These were broader service developments, separate from the 14-game slate. See NVIDIA’s CES announcement and CES recap.
