Verdict: The Secretlab OMEGA 2020 is a well-built, highly adjustable compact gaming chair, but its firm foam and narrow bucket-seat bolsters make body fit more important than its premium reputation suggests. It remains a sensible discounted, open-box, or used purchase for smaller users who like a snug seat. For most people buying new in 2026, the current TITAN Evo is the safer Secretlab choice.
This assessment combines Secretlab’s specifications with independent owner reports; it is not a new hands-on test.
What the OMEGA 2020 is—and why its status matters
The OMEGA 2020 was Secretlab’s compact model in the 2020 generation, alongside the larger TITAN 2020 and TITAN XL 2020. Secretlab now groups these chairs under its legacy “Classics” material. The former US OMEGA collection URL currently redirects to the TITAN Evo 2022 Series, while the 2020 reference page still documents the OMEGA.
That means an OMEGA listing should be treated as remaining regional stock, old stock, refurbished inventory, or a used-market purchase—not automatically as a normal current model with the same availability and support as the TITAN Evo.

Comfort over long work and gaming sessions
Firm cold-cure foam
The OMEGA uses cold-cure foam intended to provide firm support rather than sofa-like softness. Some owners interpret that firmness as stable and supportive. Others never adapt to the pressure. One SoftWeave owner reported an unusually hard, narrow cushion and thigh pressure from the rigid wings, including numbness; that is an individual account, not a measured failure rate (owner report).
Bucket-seat bolsters and usable width
The raised side bolsters create the centered, racing-seat feel but reduce the area available for shifting position. Compare the space between the bolsters—not only the chair’s outside dimensions. Persistent pressure or numbness is a fit problem, not something to push through indefinitely.
Pillows and posture
The included Signature Memory Foam lumbar pillow is removable and repositionable. That flexibility helps some users, but it can also push you forward or make the seat feel shorter. The memory-foam head pillow includes a cooling-gel layer according to Secretlab’s product description; that is a manufacturer feature claim, not a promise of a measurable temperature reduction.
The OMEGA can work for long sessions when your body matches the seat and you prefer firm support. If discomfort remains after adjusting the pillow, height, and tilt, use the return option rather than accepting pain as a break-in requirement.

Adjustability and ergonomics
The chair offers extensive positioning controls:
- Height adjustment through a Class 4 hydraulic piston.
- Multi-tilt mechanism with tilt locking.
- Backrest recline up to 165 degrees.
- Full-metal 4D armrests adjustable in height, depth, width, and angle.
- Separate head and lumbar pillows.

Adjustability is not the same as ergonomic-task-chair design. The OMEGA has no independently adjustable seat depth, waterfall seat edge, mesh back, or integrated lumbar mechanism. A chair can offer many controls and still be wrong for your pelvis, thighs, or working posture.
Does it have built-in lumbar adjustment?
No. The OMEGA 2020 uses the separate Signature Memory Foam lumbar pillow. Secretlab listed integrated adjustable lumbar support for the TITAN 2020, not the OMEGA. A pillow is easy to remove and reposition; an integrated system stays attached and can be easier to fine-tune consistently.
Materials and construction
Depending on edition and region, the 2020 OMEGA was offered in PRIME 2.0 Leatherette, SoftWeave fabric, and some NAPA leather configurations. Its structural specification includes cold-cure foam, full-metal 4D armrest mechanisms, an ADC12 aluminum base, a Class 4 piston, and XL PU casters.

Secretlab says PRIME 2.0 Leatherette is four times more durable than regular PU leather based on its own abrasion, flexing, sweat, and humidity tests (Secretlab’s 2020-series explanation). That is a manufacturer test claim, not a guaranteed service life. Leatherette is easy to wipe clean but can eventually peel; SoftWeave is more textile-like and breathable but can absorb spills and collect dust or pet hair; NAPA leather changes both the price and maintenance expectations.
Durability: strong hardware, uncertain lifespan
The metal mechanisms and aluminum base are substantial, but no available evidence establishes a universal service life. Upholstery wear depends on sweat, humidity, sunlight, pets, clothing friction, and cleaning products. Armrest pads, casters, gas lifts, tilt parts, foam, and upholstery can fail independently of the frame.

A long-term owner praised the 2020 improvements to the foam, upholstery, head pillow, and metal armrests (owner report). Legacy product information lists the backrest, seat base with armrests, ADC12 aluminum wheelbase, multi-functional tilt mechanism, Class 4 piston, hydraulic sleeve, two tilt levers, five XL PU casters, side covers, screw set, memory-foam head pillow, and memory-foam lumbar pillow. Because current pages can redirect and special editions differ, confirm the exact contents, serial number, and condition before buying old stock or used inventory.
Assembly and first inspection
Assembly is a multi-step furniture build, not a tool-free setup. An owner described the packaging, instructions, and video as clear and easy to follow (owner report). Plan for a hard, open work surface and a second person to help align the backrest and mechanism.
- Keep the box and protective materials until the return period ends.
- Inspect upholstery, armrests, casters, piston, tilt mechanism, pillows, and fasteners before discarding packaging.

OMEGA 2020 versus TITAN Evo
The TITAN Evo is Secretlab’s current mainstream model and the easier new purchase in 2026. It retains features such as 4D armrests and 165-degree recline while offering current sizing, integrated adjustable lumbar support, current accessories, and a clearer parts and warranty path. Tom’s Guide listed it from about $549 for small or regular sizes when accessed for its gaming-chair guide; price varies by size, upholstery, edition, and promotion (Tom’s Guide).
Choose the OMEGA instead only when its compact seat is specifically what you want and the discount or return protection compensates for its legacy status.

Warranty, returns, and replacement parts
Current US product information associated with the legacy listing states three years of standard functionality coverage, with a possible two-year extension—up to five years total—subject to the applicable program and registration requirements. Cosmetic damage, misuse, and ordinary wear can be excluded. It also lists returns up to 49 days from delivery, with fees and conditions.

Common problems and practical fixes
The seat feels too hard
Reposition or remove the lumbar pillow, adjust height and tilt, and allow a reasonable break-in period. If pressure remains, the foam or seat shape is probably a poor match.
Thigh pressure or numbness
Stop using it for extended sessions and consider the TITAN Evo, a wider flat-seat gaming chair, or an ergonomic office chair.
Leatherette is peeling
Take dated photographs and check the exact warranty exclusions. Avoid harsh cleaners and do not assume normal wear is covered.

The gas lift sinks or squeaks
Contact Secretlab with the model and purchase details before fitting a generic piston; compatibility and warranty implications may matter (legacy gas-lift discussion).

Secretlab TITAN Evo
Best for a new Secretlab purchase, broader fit options, integrated lumbar adjustment, current parts, and current support.
