Friendbound is reportedly triggered through the Friendship Pot, an in-game item sold in the Gear Shop. Link the pot with an active friend and tend it every 12 hours to maintain the reported streak. Linking pots with additional friends may improve the chance, but no reliable percentage or current official confirmation is available.
What you need for Friendbound
- A Friendship Pot, if it is currently listed in Grow a Garden’s Gear Shop.
- At least one active friend to link with the pot.
- Regular access to the game so you can tend the pot on the reported 12-hour schedule.
The Friendship Pot is an in-game Gear Shop item. A physical plant pot, merchandise, gift card or other real-world purchase will not perform this process.
How to try the Friendship Pot method
- Open the Gear Shop. Look for the Friendship Pot. Shop inventories and event items can change, so confirm that it is available in your current game version.
- Place or activate the pot. Follow the in-game prompts for the Friendship Pot rather than using an ordinary garden container.
- Link the pot with an active friend. The reported method requires a friend connection before the pot can build its streak.
- Tend the pot every 12 hours. A July 2025 guide describes this cadence as the way to maintain a streak that raises the chance of triggering Friendbound. The guide does not provide a probability.
- Add more friend links when the game allows it. The same guide says linked pots with multiple friends may stack the chance. This is not documented with a measured rate and should not be treated as a guarantee.
- Check the resulting crop. If Friendbound triggers, the mutation should appear through the game’s normal crop or mutation feedback. Keep tending the pot until the game confirms an outcome; do not assume that a streak guarantees activation.
What Friendbound is reported to do
Beebom’s July 2025 guide and two fan references list Friendbound as a 70× crop sell multiplier. That figure is a reported game value, not one independently verified against current official documentation. Treat the displayed value in your own game as authoritative if it differs.
How much does Friendbound cost in odds?
No cited source gives a numerical chance for Friendbound to trigger. The reported 12-hour interval is a tending routine, not an odds figure. Likewise, the claim that additional friend links stack the chance does not establish how much each link changes the result.

Why the method may look different in your game
The detailed instructions come from a guide dated July 12, 2025, with supporting fan references. Those sources do not establish whether the Friendship Pot, its shop placement, the 12-hour rule, friend-link behavior or the 70× multiplier is unchanged in September 2026. If the pot is missing or its prompts differ, check the current Gear Shop description and the item’s on-screen instructions before proceeding.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Searching for a real-world pot: Friendbound refers to an in-game mechanic.
- Expecting an instant mutation: the reported method depends on repeated tending and does not promise a trigger.
