Use a third-party interactive map to browse Crimson Desert markers for collectibles, quests, bosses, resources, shops, chests and hidden points of interest. Greymane Codex, CoderFX and TH.GL cover the world with different databases and tools, while the in-game map itself remains restricted until you complete the Toll of Pywel bell quest.
Which Crimson Desert interactive map should you use?
There is no single official or universally complete interactive map. The major services maintain separate marker databases, so their totals are not directly additive and should not be treated as the game’s canonical location count.

Counts are claims made by each publisher in 2026. They can change as markers are added, removed or reclassified, so check the service’s displayed update date or version notes before relying on a total.

Use category filters for treasure chests, resources and other collectible-style markers. CoderFX’s found-state and hide-found controls let you turn a large marker set into a remaining-items checklist.

Quest locations
Greymane Codex lists main quests among its categories. Search and category toggles on maps that support them can help you isolate quest objectives instead of scanning every point on the continent.
Bosses and strongholds
Greymane separates story bosses and strongholds from other points of interest. Other databases may use different names or classifications, which is one reason the same area can show different totals between services.
Shops, resources and hidden points of interest
Greymane’s categories include shops, resources and hidden POIs. Use these filters when planning a route for upgrades, crafting materials or exploration rather than selecting every marker at once.

How to track 100% completion with an interactive map
- Choose one database as your source of truth. Switching between services can create duplicate or mismatched categories because their marker inventories are independent.
- Filter to one objective. Start with a category such as chests, bosses or quests, then zoom into a manageable region.
- Mark discoveries immediately. On CoderFX, use found-state tracking; add notes when a marker needs a key, quest step or return visit.
- Hide completed markers. CoderFX’s hide-found mode leaves only unresolved locations visible, making route planning easier.
- Add exceptions as custom markers. Record a location that you discover in-game but cannot find in the database, and export your data as JSON if you need a backup or want to move it.
- Recheck freshness before a final sweep. A publisher may revise its database or category totals, so compare the map’s current update information with your checklist.
Why the in-game map may still be incomplete
External maps and the map screen inside Crimson Desert serve different purposes. A web map can display a marker for a region before your character has revealed it, but that does not unlock the region in the game.

The Toll of Pywel requirement
According to PC Gamer’s 2026 guide, the Toll of Pywel quest requires ringing eight bells across the continent to unlock the full in-game map. Some bell locations are gated by story progress or by hostility in the surrounding area.
How to use both maps together
- Use an external map to see where bells, quests and points of interest are reported.
- Use the game map to confirm which region is currently revealed to your character.
- If a marker appears in an unrevealed area, treat it as planning information rather than proof that you can travel there now.
- When a bell is inaccessible, advance the relevant story or resolve the area’s hostility before assuming the marker is wrong.

Greymane Codex or TH.GL is a practical starting point when you want to browse categories in a browser and inspect a large number of locations.

For a completion run
CoderFX is the strongest fit when you need found-state tracking, notes, hide-found mode, custom markers and import/export. Its offline operation is useful when you do not want to depend on a live connection.
For cross-checking an unusual marker
Open a second service, such as Shackmaps, when a location is missing, categorized differently or appears inconsistent. Do not combine the services’ totals into one supposed grand total.

Common problems and how to avoid them
- “The totals do not match.” Separate publishers count different databases, categories and regions. Compare coverage and workflow rather than choosing solely by the largest number.
- “A marker is visible, but I cannot reach it.” The external database does not bypass story, hostility or map-reveal gates. Check the Toll of Pywel progress and the area’s access conditions.
- “I lost my completion progress.” Use a map’s account or save features where available; with CoderFX, export the tracked data as JSON regularly.
- “The map seems outdated.” Look for the publisher’s update date or version notes before planning a full sweep, since location databases are continuously revised.
