How long is the campaign?
PC Gamer reports approximately 13 hours of campaign content. That is a reviewer observation, not a guaranteed completion time: difficulty, pace and optional activity can change an individual playthrough. In practical terms, expect a compact, weekend-length story rather than the 40-hour scale common to many open-world crime games.

What do reviews say about the story and presentation?
TechRadar found the narrative compelling, with effective voice acting and cutscenes, while stopping short of calling the overall result exceptional. PC Gamer likewise treats the focused campaign and cinematic approach as central strengths but sees the linear scope as a limitation for players seeking breadth.
The broad critical picture is therefore clear: the setting, performances and presentation do much of the heavy lifting. The game is strongest when it is delivering a carefully staged crime drama; it is less persuasive if your priority is mechanical novelty or a large volume of activities.

Is the PS5 or Xbox version better?
There is no reliable universal winner in the available review evidence. Both current-generation Xbox consoles and PS5 support the game, but no verified side-by-side frame-rate, resolution or image-quality measurements establish one as superior. Choose the console tied to your existing library, controller preference, display setup and local price. On PC, hardware and settings will determine results; Steam Deck support was not established by PC Gamer’s tested setup.
Does Mafia: The Old Country have multiplayer?
