Read Robin’s letter on Spring 11, then leave your farm through the southern exit and search Cindersap Forest near the Sewer Pipe. Pick up the ground item labeled Lost Axe and return it to Robin for 250g and one friendship heart.
When Robin’s Lost Axe quest starts
On Spring 11, Robin sends a letter that begins the quest. Read it and accept the request before searching for the axe. The quest trigger and objective are documented on the Stardew Valley Wiki’s Quests page and Robin’s character page.

Exact location of the Lost Axe
The axe is in Cindersap Forest, on the ground near the Sewer Pipe. It is not inside the sewer or in a chest. Leave the farm by its southern exit, follow the path south into the forest, and approach the Sewer Pipe landmark.
Step-by-step route
- Read Robin’s Spring 11 letter and accept the Lost Axe quest.
- Exit your farm through the southern entrance.
- Continue into Cindersap Forest and walk south toward the Sewer Pipe.
- Look on the ground around the Sewer Pipe for the item named Lost Axe.
- Pick it up so it appears in your inventory.
- Return to Robin and talk to her while the axe is still in your inventory.
Quest reward
Robin pays 250g and gives you one friendship heart when you hand over the axe. These rewards are listed in the quest documentation at wiki.stardewvalley.net/Quests.

What to do if the axe is missing
If you discarded the axe or otherwise lost the quest item, check the Lost and Found box inside Mayor Lewis’ house. The quest reference identifies it as the recovery location for lost quest items. If you have not yet accepted Robin’s letter, read the Spring 11 mail first; the item is tied to the active quest.
