The Glorious Model O 2 Wired is the best all-round mouse for butterfly clicking. Its broad, relatively flat buttons, low weight and adjustable debounce make rapid two-finger clicking easier to control. Choose the Bloody A70x when maximum CPS matters more than refinement, the ROCCAT Burst Pro for optical-switch longevity, the Razer DeathAdder V2 for large hands and palm grip, or the Logitech G203 as an inexpensive starter.

These are feature-based recommendations, not claims from original laboratory testing. Your CPS depends on technique, finger pressure, friction, debounce settings, game input handling and the rules of the server you play on.

Quick comparison

Mouse Best for Switches Weight or size note Debounce information Connection Main drawback
Glorious Model O 2 Wired Best overall Mechanical Approximately 59 g in the configuration cited by TechnoQia Adjustable; TechnoQia cites 4 ms for its configuration, so verify the current firmware and software Wired Mechanical contacts can develop chatter; honeycomb shell is not for everyone
Bloody A70x Maximum CPS Light Strike optical Not stated in the supplied sources Click-focused behavior, but an exact current range is not established Wired Dated software and less refined general-purpose design
ROCCAT Burst Pro Durability-oriented use Titan optical Lightweight conventional shell; exact current specification varies by listing No exact current setting established Wired New-stock and warranty availability can be inconsistent
Razer DeathAdder V2 Large hands and palm grip Optical Larger ergonomic body; heavier than ultralight alternatives No click-specific adjustable setting established Wired Right-handed and less suited to deliberate double-click experimentation
Logitech G203 Budget starter Mechanical Compact, familiar shape; exact weight not stated here No click-specific control established Wired Less attractive for sustained heavy clicking

Manufacturer specifications and availability can change between revisions and regions. Check the exact SKU before buying: Glorious, Bloody, Turtle Beach, Razer and Logitech G.

What butterfly clicking is—and what it is not

Butterfly clicking alternates the index and middle fingers on one mouse button. The goal is to produce more separate actuations than ordinary one-finger clicking. It is different from:

Bloody Optical Gaming Mouse with Light Strike (LK) Switch & Scroll - Fully Programmable and Advance Macros (A70 II)
  • [OPTICAL GAMING GRADE SENSOR] Running Change Upgrade* BC3332-S Gaming High-Performance Optical Engine - 8000DPI / CPI Adjustable - Pair with Bloody Gaming Mouse Pads for Speed, Precision, and Control
  • [X'GLIDE ARMOR] This exclusive upgrade adds durability for the mouse feet and improves the skate and glide of your mouse. Improves your ability to stay agile. Best paired with Bloody Gaming Pads/Surfaces to make your gaming mouse glide like butter.
  • Click Response Less 0.2 ms Without any traditional metal bouncing noise. Performs extreme 0.2ms light speed response with over 20 million clicks lifespan!
  • Jitter clicking: one finger taps rapidly while the hand or forearm creates vibration.
  • Drag clicking: a finger is dragged across a textured button so friction produces repeated switch actuations.
  • Double-click exploitation: one physical press is interpreted as multiple inputs because of switch or firmware behavior.

Servers do not necessarily treat these methods alike. Manual butterfly clicking may be allowed while autoclickers, macros or deliberate extra-input exploits are prohibited. Read the current rules for each server before relying on a technique.

What makes a mouse good for butterfly clicking?

Broad, stable buttons

Two fingers need room to alternate without sliding off. Wide, gently curved or relatively flat primary buttons, a clear center split and moderate surface friction are more useful than a headline DPI number. A heavier mouse with stable buttons can outperform a lighter mouse with narrow, sharply curved buttons.

Switch feel and failure behavior

Mechanical switches can feel crisp and light, but their physical contacts may eventually chatter or register unintended doubles. Optical switches remove traditional metal-contact bounce and are generally more resistant to that failure mode; they do not automatically deliver higher CPS. Button geometry, actuation force, firmware and technique still matter.

Debounce control

Debounce is filtering that stops one physical press from being interpreted as several presses caused by switch bounce. Lower values can pass rapid inputs, but values that are too low can cause double actions in menus, inventory screens or ordinary desktop use. Adjustable debounce lets you choose the lowest setting that remains reliable. Exact ranges and menu labels depend on the model and current companion software.

  • DURABLE MECHANICAL SWITCHES — Supports up to 10 million clicks
  • RIDGED, RUBBERIZED SCROLL WHEEL FOR MAXIMUM ACCURACY — Small, tactile bumps increases grip and allows for more controlled scrolling in high-stakes gaming situations

  • PC GAMING PERIPHERALS BRAND IN THE U.S. — Source — Circana, Retail Tracking Service, U.S., Dollar Sales, Gaming Designed Mice, Keyboards, and PC Headsets, Jan. 2019- Dec. 2023 combined

Weight, cable and wireless connection

Low weight can reduce fatigue and make aim corrections easier, but fit comes first. A flexible cable reduces drag. A reputable 2.4 GHz gaming mouse can be suitable for competitive play; inexpensive Bluetooth models and battery management add risk and cost.

Detailed picks

1. Glorious Model O 2 Wired — best overall

The Model O 2 combines wide split buttons, a lightweight body and click-specific software options. TechnoQia cites approximately 59 g, mechanical switches rated for 80 million clicks and a 4 ms debounce setting for its reviewed configuration; verify those details for the exact regional model and current Glorious software.

It suits fingertip, claw and hybrid grips, and gives most players a useful balance between CPS potential, ordinary aim and price. Its compromises are equally clear: mechanical contacts are less reassuring than optical switches for users worried about chatter, and a honeycomb shell can collect dust or feel less solid. Treat low debounce as a tuning option, not a promise of 20-plus CPS.

2. Bloody A70x — best for maximum CPS

The A70x uses Bloody’s Light Strike optical switches and is designed around rapid registration, making it the specialist choice for players who put CPS above software polish, weight or all-day comfort. Click-focused comparisons place it at the high end of the shortlist for butterfly, drag and double-click-style techniques.

Redragon M612 Wired RGB Optical Gaming Mouse 8000 DPI Remapping Keys
  • Pentakill, 5 DPI Levels - Geared with 5 redefinable DPI levels (default as: 500/1000/2000/3000/4000), easy to switch between different game needs. Dedicated demand of DPI options between 500-8000 is also available to be processed by software.
  • Any Button is Reassignable - 11 programmable buttons are all editable with customizable tactical keybinds in whatever game or work you are engaging. 1 rapid fire + 2 side macro buttons offer you a better gaming and working experience.
  • Comfort Grip with Details - The skin-friendly frosted coating is the main comfort grip of the mouse surface, which offers you the most enjoyable fingerprint-free tactility. The left side equipped with rubber texture strengthened the friction and made the mouse easier to control.
  • 5 Decent Backlit Modes - Turn the backlit on and make some kills in your gaming battlefield. The hyped dynamic RGB backlit vibe will never let you down when decorating your gaming space, it would be better with other Redragon accessories with lights on.
  • Fatigue Killer with Ergonomic Design - Solid frame with a streamlined and general claw-grip design offers a satisfying and comfortable gaming experience with less fatigue even though after hours of use.

Its dated-feeling software and less mainstream ergonomics make it a poor universal recommendation. Find current regional stock and warranty information at Bloody. A high CPS ceiling is not the same as better FPS aim or guaranteed in-game registration.

3. ROCCAT Burst Pro — best durability-oriented pick

The Burst Pro’s Titan optical switches are cited at up to 100 million clicks, a manufacturer-rated figure rather than a guaranteed service life. Its conventional lightweight shell is more substantial than many ultralight honeycomb designs and works well for daily, click-heavy gaming.

Optical switches reduce traditional contact-bounce failures, but they may not produce the extra-click behavior some Minecraft players seek. Because the model is older, check whether a listing is new, refurbished or marketplace stock, and confirm warranty coverage through Turtle Beach.

4. Razer DeathAdder V2 — best for larger hands and palm grip

The DeathAdder V2 gives medium-to-large hands a larger right-handed shell with more rear support than ultralight ambidextrous mice. It is a sensible choice for palm or relaxed-claw users who also want a comfortable general gaming mouse.

  • Easy Keybinding with Macro - All 8 programmable buttons are all editable with customizable tactical keybinds in whatever game or work you are engaging. 1 rapid fire + 2 side macro buttons offer you a better gaming and working experience.
  • Ultra Long-lasting Core - Equipped with the PAW3325 Optical Pixart sensor, the mouse consumption is further optimized with 1000Hz Polling Rate in dual mode. Rechargeable battery keeps the mouse working up to 45 hours at maximum (eco-mode).
  • Adjustable True Color - With Redragon Pro driver, DIY endless style like dynamic streaming, breathing, waving. The game closely linked with various lighting modes makes your room full of competitive vibe.

It is heavier than the Model O 2, lacks a clearly established click-specific debounce advantage and is not aimed at deliberate double-click behavior. Choose it for fit and endurance, not for the highest possible CPS. Confirm current stock and warranty at Razer’s product page.

5. Logitech G203 — best budget starter

The G203 offers broad, fairly flat primary buttons and a familiar wired shape at a low entry cost. It is appropriate for beginners learning the technique or casual Bedwars and SkyWars players who also need a normal gaming mouse.

Its mechanical switches and lack of an established click-specific debounce control make it a starter rather than a sustained high-CPS competition pick. Use Logitech’s current regional page for availability: G203 LIGHTSYNC.

Alternatives that solve different problems

Wireless: Logitech G305

The G305 is a credible wireless general-purpose option. Logitech lists a HERO sensor, 200–12,000 DPI, 400 IPS tracking, LIGHTSPEED wireless and up to 250 hours from one AA battery: official specifications. Those strengths do not establish a butterfly-clicking advantage, adjustable debounce or a higher CPS ceiling, so treat it as a wireless-value alternative.

Feature-rich comfort: Razer Basilisk V3

The Basilisk V3 has an ergonomic thumb rest, 11 programmable buttons, a 26K DPI sensor and Gen-2 optical switches rated by Razer for up to 70 million clicks with a claimed 0.2 ms actuation: Razer’s product page. Those are manufacturer claims, not independent testing. Its bulk and extra controls do not directly improve two-finger clicking.

Premium esports hardware

The Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike is described in the reviewed coverage as offering adjustable actuation, rapid-trigger reset and wireless operation, but its reported $179.99 price was a dated marketplace snapshot. It only makes sense if you also want a premium multi-game esports mouse; price alone does not prove better butterfly-clicking performance.

Choose by hand size, grip and priorities

  • Most players: Model O 2 Wired.
  • Highest CPS experimentation: Bloody A70x.
  • Optical-switch longevity: ROCCAT Burst Pro.
  • Large hands or palm grip: DeathAdder V2.
  • Small hands or fingertip grip: Prefer a lower, lighter shape; test reach before choosing a large ergonomic shell.
  • Lowest initial cost: G203.
  • Wireless requirement: G305, accepting that its click-specific advantages are not established.
  • FPS as well as Minecraft: Favor stable shape, controlled debounce and aim comfort over a peak CPS burst.

How to configure and test a mouse

  1. Confirm the exact model. Check wired versus wireless, size variant, switch revision, firmware and regional SKU. Names such as Model O, Model O 2 and wireless variants are not interchangeable.
  2. Install the official utility. Use the current Glorious Core, Bloody software, Razer Synapse, Logitech G HUB or the supported Turtle Beach/Roccat utility. Labels and controls can change, so verify the current interface before following a model-specific menu path.
  3. Begin at the default debounce. Test ordinary single clicks, menus, inventory and drag selection before lowering the setting gradually.
  4. Stop at the lowest reliable value. Raise debounce again if one click opens two items, actions repeat, selections flicker or block placement becomes inconsistent.
  5. Measure consistently. Use the same button, duration, tester, attempt count and rest intervals. Record a sustained result, missed clicks, unintended doubles, fatigue and aim control rather than publishing the best short burst.
  6. Verify in Minecraft. Browser counters do not prove that a game or server accepts every input. Test attacks, block placement, bridging and movement under the server’s actual rules.

Does butterfly clicking damage a mouse?

Repeated high-force clicking can accelerate wear, but no universal failure time can be promised. Lifespan depends on switch design, manufacturing quality, force, click volume, button alignment and existing wear. Mechanical switches can develop chatter, missed clicks or uneven feel; optical designs are generally less prone to traditional contact failure. Optical does not mean indestructible, and butterfly clicking does not guarantee failure.

Why high CPS is not the same as better PvP

Raw click count is only one input. Aim, movement, timing, sprint resets, reach mechanics, game version and server-side filtering can matter more. A mouse can remove a hardware constraint, but it cannot replace technique. Some servers also cap or filter rapid inputs, making a browser CPS score irrelevant to actual combat.

Bottom line

Buy the Glorious Model O 2 Wired if you want the most balanced butterfly-clicking setup. Select the Bloody A70x for specialist maximum-CPS experimentation, the ROCCAT Burst Pro when optical-switch longevity matters most, the DeathAdder V2 when a large palm-friendly shape prevents fatigue, and the G203 when you need a low-cost starting point. In every case, tune debounce for reliable normal use and check the rules of the server before using rapid-click techniques.
