Stumble Guys 0.40 is an old build, not the current official mobile release. As checked on August 18, 2026, Google Play and the U.S. App Store list version 0.101. Scopely does not publish an official 0.40 APK-and-OBB download, and APK or OBB files cannot be installed on an iPhone or iPad. For supported play, install the current game from Google Play or Apple’s App Store.
Is Stumble Guys 0.40 still the current version?
No. The Android listing on Google Play showed an August 13, 2026 update with version 0.101 release notes. The U.S. App Store listing showed version 0.101 dated August 4, with iOS 13.0 or later required.
| Platform | Listing checked | Version shown | Compatibility detail |
|---|---|---|---|
| Android | Google Play, updated August 13, 2026 | 0.101 | Official Scopely listing |
| iPhone and iPad | U.S. App Store, version history dated August 4, 2026 | 0.101 | iOS/iPadOS 13.0 or later; seller Scopely, Inc. |
“0.40” therefore identifies a historical release rather than the supported live build. An old client might install on some older Android hardware if a genuine package exists, but installation would not prove that it can launch, preserve progress, or connect to today’s servers. Online games can reject outdated clients or require a mandatory update.
Is there an official Stumble Guys 0.40 APK and OBB?
No official Scopely source currently offers a standalone 0.40 APK and OBB package. The official website, Google Play, the Apple App Store, and the official update instructions direct players to supported platform stores rather than archived APK, OBB, IPA, or mirror files.

A third-party page titled “official APK,” “original 0.40 files,” or “latest OBB” is not endorsed merely because it uses those words. File names and version labels can be falsified, and a download that installs successfully is not thereby genuine or safe. No verified public Scopely archive for 0.40 is established by the official listings.

How to install or update on iPhone and iPad
- Open the App Store.
- Search for Stumble Guys.
- Verify that the seller/developer is Scopely, Inc. and use the official listing at Apple’s App Store.
- Tap Get or the cloud-download icon. For an existing installation, tap Update.
- Check that the device meets the listed iOS or iPadOS 13.0-or-later requirement.
Why APK and OBB are not an iOS download method
An APK is an Android application package. OBB refers to an Android-associated game-data package. Neither is an iOS installation format, so an iPhone or iPad cannot install Stumble Guys through an APK-and-OBB bundle. Do not treat an unofficial IPA download as an “iOS APK” equivalent: it is still an unsupported distribution route with signing, security, account, and compatibility risks.

What risks come with an old APK/OBB archive?
An archive is not automatically malicious, but an unverified package has risks that the official store route avoids:

What to do if Stumble Guys will not install or update
Store update troubleshooting
- Close and reopen Google Play or the App Store.
- Search for Stumble Guys directly instead of relying only on an old notification.
- Check free storage and your internet connection.
- Restart the device, then install the available store update.
- Check the official website’s support and known-issues information before reporting a bug; it advises using the latest version on a supported device.
If the game is missing from the store
Availability can vary by country, store account, device compatibility, age or parental-control settings, storage, and temporary store problems. Check the account’s country and restrictions and contact the official support route rather than bypassing the listing with an APK mirror. Changing regions, sideloading, or using an emulator is not guaranteed to solve the problem.

If an old package shows a specific error
- “App not installed”: The package may conflict with an installed signature, use the wrong CPU architecture, be corrupt, lack storage, or be incompatible. Protect or verify account-linked progress before removing the official app; reinstalling from Google Play is the safer recovery.
- “OBB not found”: The data may be incomplete, intended for another version, placed in an incompatible structure, or not genuine. Directing the game back to the official store build is preferable to manual file placement.
- The game opens but demands an update: The old client may no longer be accepted by the live service. Installation and server support are separate issues.
- Progress disappears: A version change can interfere with local data. Link progress through a supported account method before reinstalling or changing versions; restoration is not guaranteed in every case.

Why do Android and iPhone show different update dates?
Platform stores can display different release dates or rollout timing. Use the store listing and the in-game update prompt for your platform rather than assuming both releases appear simultaneously.
The Bottom Line
Stumble Guys 0.40 is an old, unsupported build, and Scopely does not provide an official APK/OBB archive for it. Android users should install the current Scopely release through Google Play; iPhone and iPad users should use the App Store. Unverified archives add compatibility, account, update, and security risks without guaranteeing online play.
