Act 1 has 13 collectibles: three in Chapter 1, four in Chapter 2, two in Chapter 3, and four in Chapter 4. Use this chapter-by-chapter route to check each landmark, and note the few item-name differences reported by current guides.
Chapter 1: Emergence — 3 collectibles
- Monster Jaw (called “Monster Claw” in one guide): After the first e-hole encounter, return to the street and look near the newsstand or kiosk. Guides differ on the exact cue: one places it near a corpse after the first melee enemies. TechWiser, The Nerd Stash, Gamer Social Club, and DayOne cover this pickup.
- Bloody Transit Worker’s Helmet: In the maintenance tunnels, check the left-side room or opening for a body with a flashlight.
- Front Page of the Kalona Times (spelled “Kelona” by one guide): After helping civilians under rubble, cross to the Cafe and Bakery and search the back kitchen or counter area.
Chapter 2: Survival of the Fittest — 4 collectibles
- KPD Police Bulletin: At the police station, check the desk or table on the left side of the bullpen before going farther.
- Bloodied Police Chief’s Badge: In the chief’s room, look beside or below the chief’s body on the wall.
- Army Recruitment Pamphlet: In the Gears recruitment center, search behind the reception desk or near the COG-emblem display.
- Try On Pilot Helmet: In the same center, inspect the helmet display to the right of the pamphlet; one guide identifies the third helmet from the left. DayOne numbers this as item 5, but it is the chapter’s fourth collectible; Gamer Social Club’s count confirms the sequence.

Chapter 3: A Gear in Need — 2 collectibles
- Tomatoes, Canned: In the supermarket warehouse area, search the left-hand aisle or storage area near a body and boxes. Guides vary on the precise aisle, so sweep the warehouse section rather than relying on one exact sequence.
- Broken Lancer Bayonet: After the fight or cutscene with Tai, inspect the dead soldier and grub bodies before leaving the supermarket; guides place it on or near a body.

Chapter 4: Back in the Fold — 4 collectibles
- Front Page of the Tyran Chronicle (called “Tyrant Chronicle” by one guide): At the opening street, check the right-side alley or doorstep near the Bar & Lounge sign or stairs.
- Anti-UIR Propaganda Poster: Before entering the clinic, take the right-hand path and inspect the wall farther along the alley.
- Landa Memorial Medical Supplies Memo: Inside the clinic, check the reception or office desk before exiting.
- COG Tags of Private Brick Rosso: After leaving the clinic, search behind or beside the police car near the park entrance.

How to find missed collectibles
- TechWiser reports that nearby collectibles produce an audio cue and can be highlighted with Tac-Com (LB); the highlight range is short, so use it while checking the listed rooms and landmarks.
- According to TechWiser, missed items can be collected by replaying individual chapters, and progress is tracked in the War Journal. These are guide-reported gameplay details, not directions documented on the official Xbox pages.
- Xbox Wire says the “Memories From E-Day” achievement requires finding all campaign collectibles on any difficulty. The achievement list is at Xbox Wire.
Xbox lists Gears of War: E-Day for Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11, with an October 6, 2026 release date and Game Pass availability on its official product page.
