The $600 discount was real as reported, but it was a historical Amazon deal—not a price you should assume is still available. WePC reported on February 26, 2026, that the CLX SET with a Ryzen 9 9900X3D and GeForce RTX 5090 had fallen from $6,799.99 to $6,199.99. Retailer listings later showed the same or a closely matching configuration at both $5,999.99 and $6,799.99. This is a luxury desktop worth considering mainly if you will use its flagship graphics power for 4K gaming or demanding creator work.
What the CLX SET includes
Retailer listings identify this system as the CLX SET, model TGMSETRTZ5304BM where a model number is provided. Its headline components are a 12-core AMD Ryzen 9 9900X3D processor and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 with 32GB of GDDR7 memory. The listings also specify 32GB of DDR5 RAM, a 2TB NVMe M.2 SSD, liquid CPU cooling, Wi-Fi and Windows 11 Home.

The processor’s X3D designation refers to AMD’s 3D V-Cache technology; AMD describes the 9900X3D as part of its second-generation 3D V-Cache desktop lineup (AMD’s Ryzen 9 9900X3D and 9950X3D material). Extra cache can help some games, particularly when the processor is a limiting factor. Its 12 cores also provide capacity for multitasking, streaming and productivity workloads, but neither the cache nor core count guarantees a particular performance gain in every game.
The RTX 5090 is the system’s main draw. Its 32GB of graphics memory and support for Nvidia’s ray tracing, DLSS and frame-generation features make it a plausible match for demanding 4K games and GPU-accelerated creative work. Actual frame rates depend on the game, settings and display, and no independent benchmark results for this exact CLX configuration are established by the deal coverage.

How the $600 deal compares with later listings
WePC’s February 26, 2026 report put the Amazon price at $6,199.99, reduced from $6,799.99. That is a $600 saving, or about 8.8%—roughly 9%. Later retailer listings showed a lower price at some sellers, but the listings were not a synchronized live comparison, and prices or stock may have changed since they were observed.

Is the hardware worth more than $6,000?
That depends less on the size of the markdown than on whether your games, monitor and other workloads can use the hardware. An RTX 5090 makes the most sense for demanding 4K play, high settings and ray tracing, particularly with a high-refresh 4K display. It can also suit people who stream or record while gaming, or who run GPU-accelerated creative applications.
The 9900X3D adds a high-end gaming-oriented CPU with substantial multitasking capacity. In GPU-heavy 4K gaming, however, the graphics card may be the constraint, so a more expensive processor does not necessarily translate into a visible advantage in every title. At 1080p, or for many 1440p setups, this machine’s graphics capability is likely to be more than the display or games require. Esports players may get more practical value from a less costly system and a suitable high-refresh monitor.

The listed 32GB of RAM and 2TB SSD are useful starting capacities, not unlimited headroom. Some creator workflows benefit from more memory, and a large installed game library can consume 2TB quickly. Expanding either later depends in part on the exact motherboard, storage layout and memory configuration.

The CPU and GPU names alone do not reveal several parts that affect a desktop’s quality, serviceability and upgrade options. The available listings do not consistently identify the graphics-card manufacturer, motherboard model, power-supply brand or wattage, SSD model, DDR5 speed and timings, or case airflow setup. They also do not establish measured temperatures, noise, power draw or warranty terms for every retailer and region.

That matters at this price. A self-built PC gives a buyer direct control over these component choices and may cost less, but whether it actually does depends on current parts pricing and on the cost of Windows, assembly and support. The CLX prebuilt may suit someone who values an assembled system and a single company to contact for system-level help; it is less compelling for buyers who prioritize component transparency or selecting every part themselves. Best Buy’s listing indicates there is no built-in optical drive, which may matter if you use physical discs.

Check these details before ordering
- Confirm the exact configuration. Match the model or SKU, CPU, GPU, memory and storage to the listing you intend to buy. Retailers can reuse product names even when configurations differ.
- Verify who sells and ships it. Check whether the retailer or CLX is responsible, and review any marketplace seller’s terms.
- Get the important part numbers in writing. Ask for the PSU brand and wattage, motherboard model, SSD model, RAM speed and graphics-card manufacturer if they are not listed. Do not infer them from the CPU and GPU names.
- Read warranty, return and delivery terms. Check the terms attached to that seller and your region rather than assuming they are identical across retailers.
- Use the checkout total as the comparison. Confirm price, shipping, stock and any applicable terms at checkout; financing payments are not a reduction in the cash price.
Who should buy it—and who should skip it?
Consider it if
- You have, or are planning to buy, a high-refresh 4K display and play graphics-intensive games.
- You want a ready-built flagship system for gaming, streaming or GPU-heavy creative tasks.
- You value avoiding assembly and are comfortable paying a premium for a prebuilt, after confirming its seller and component details.
Skip it if
- You mainly play at 1080p, use a midrange monitor, or do not need the RTX 5090’s level of graphics capability.
- You mostly play esports titles that already run well on less expensive hardware.
- Your priority is the lowest possible price or full control over the motherboard, power supply, storage, cooling and case.
