Yes. You can change the email address on a Roblox account in Settings > Account Info > Update Email. You must know the account’s current Roblox password, then verify the new address using the instructions Roblox emails to it.
How to change your Roblox email
Roblox’s settings are reached from different menus depending on where you sign in: use the gear icon on the website or the three-dot More menu in the mobile app. Then follow these steps:
- Sign in to the Roblox account.
- Open Settings from the gear icon in a browser, or tap More (the three-dot icon) in the mobile app.
- Open Account Info and select Update Email.
- Enter the new email address and the account’s current Roblox password.
- Open the verification message Roblox sends to the new address and follow its instructions.
Roblox also sends an alert to the previous email address; its instructions do not specify exactly when that alert arrives. See Roblox Support’s email-change instructions for the current account settings guidance.
What if you can’t sign in?
You cannot change the email through the normal settings flow without knowing the current password. If you have forgotten it, first use Roblox’s password-recovery process, which sends reset instructions to the email currently associated with the account. If you cannot access that email, check whether a phone number is linked and available for recovery.

If there is no recovery email or phone number on the account, Roblox says its self-service reset flow cannot reset the password. Contact Roblox Customer Support and explain the login problem. Roblox requires proof of account ownership before Support can reset an account or change account information, so a request is not a guarantee of recovery.
Recovery details for parents and younger players
For an account belonging to someone under 13, a parent can verify an email address as the account’s parental recovery email in Settings > Account Info. It can be different from the email on the parent’s own linked Roblox account. Phone verification is available only in select countries; if it is not available where you are, the phone-number field will not appear. Roblox explains these options in its account email guidance.

Protect the account after changing the address
A verified email can help with recovery and is required to enable Roblox 2-Step Verification (2SV). Roblox recommends 2SV as an additional account-protection measure. It supports several verification methods, but only one method can be selected at a time. To set up a security key, you must also enable authenticator-app 2SV.
- Keep recovery details current; Roblox says recovering access after losing the primary 2SV method may require two different verification methods on the account.
- Available backup options include a phone number for eligible ages, a passkey, and saved backup codes.
- A physical security key, such as the YubiKey 5 or Google Titan Security Key cited by Roblox, is optional—not required to change your email. Compatibility can depend on your browser, operating system, and device.
See Roblox’s 2-Step Verification instructions for setup details.

Can you use your email to log in?
Roblox supports signing in with a verified email address in browsers and mobile apps. If that email is associated with more than one username, you must use a username to sign in instead. Email one-time codes are available only to some users. Never share a one-time code: Roblox says it will never contact you to ask for one. More details are in Roblox’s guides to logging in with email and one-time passwords.
