The Lost Glitches, a digital trading card game with RPG progression, opened its beta on Xai on August 15, 2024. The launch put the game on the Epic Games Store and introduced Xai as the blockchain layer for its digital collectibles. That beta was a past milestone, not a current launch: the game later appeared on Steam, which lists an April 29, 2025 release date.
What launched on August 15, 2024?
Honig Studios developed The Lost Glitches, and Mimunga published it. The Xai Foundation announcement described the release as an open beta on the Epic Games Store and a final testing phase ahead of planned early access later in 2024. The announcement said the beta would last one month; that was the plan at launch, not evidence that the beta is still running. Xai Foundation’s announcement characterized Xai as a gaming-focused Ethereum Layer 3 network and highlighted a no-gas-fee experience.
The game itself is a tactical digital card battler, not a physical-card release. Its pitch combines deckbuilding and PvP with character skills and RPG-style progression. Xai was the infrastructure for the Web3 collectibles layer; the launch materials did not establish that players needed blockchain features to take part in ordinary matches.
How does the game play?
The official site describes card battles, progression, customization, skill upgrades, and PvP tournaments. Those descriptions establish the broad format, but the launch announcement does not spell out turn structure, deck limits, or match length. Later Steam copy provides more specific details, which should not be mistaken for a complete description of the first beta build.

Details in the later Steam listing
Steam describes short tactical PvP matches on a five-slot battlefield, five free starter decks, and a collection of more than 300 cards. These are later product details, not a verified inventory of what was playable on beta launch day. The Steam listing also identifies the game as free to play and lists optional paid DLC; storefront contents and availability can change.
What did Xai add?
The launch announcement presented Xai as support for blockchain-backed collectibles, with the goal of making the Web3 layer feel seamless to players and avoiding gas fees in the player experience. That is the publisher’s launch-era claim, not a guarantee about every transaction or the game’s current wallet requirements.

The official collectors page discusses classic, exclusive, and collector editions and says cards could be tokenized and traded within the community. That does not establish that every in-game card was on-chain, transferable, or usable outside the game. Card utility in a match, collectible editions, and a tokenized asset are distinct things. The available descriptions also do not establish that blockchain ownership confers a gameplay advantage, or that a wallet is required to play.
What rewards did the beta advertise?
The official open-beta page, dated August 15, 2024, promoted ranked play, Xai Vanguard: Genesis quests, and time-limited reward opportunities. It listed exclusive collectibles, Marks of Honor, Data Shards, Credits, unlockable decks, and avatars, with additional rewards tied to ranked performance. The page advertised 42 exclusive collectibles and five Marks of Honor as daily-claim opportunities through the game and web store.

Those figures and claims describe the beta campaign, not current entitlements. The page does not establish that the rewards remain claimable or that beta progress and assets carried into later versions.
Why did the game move from Immutable X to Xai?
Xai was not the project’s only announced blockchain home. In December 2022, a separate announcement said The Lost Glitches would launch exclusively on Immutable X. The 2024 Xai announcement marks a later change in ecosystem positioning; the available announcements do not explain the full technical or commercial reasons for it.

Steam lists April 29, 2025 as the game’s release date, later than the planned early-access window described in 2024. Its listing presents a free-to-play version with optional paid DLC. The official roadmap describes ongoing development work, including fixes, performance improvements, balance changes, and planned content. The official website displayed Season 18 material and tournament updates in April 2026. These milestones show continued activity after the beta, but they do not independently establish current player population, matchmaking health, or marketplace liquidity.

Where can you play it now?
The beta’s original access route was the Epic Games Store. The later Steam listing is another documented route, but storefront status and regional availability can change. Check the Steam page and the official website for current access information rather than relying on the 2024 beta instructions. The game was listed as free to play on Steam, with optional DLC; that later listing does not describe the beta’s original economy.
Who is it likely to suit?
It is most relevant to players who want tactical deckbuilding, PvP, and character progression, whether or not they care about tokenized collectibles. Players mainly interested in a conventional card game can focus on the match systems and check the current storefront listing for access and purchases. Players interested in digital ownership should verify the current account, wallet, transfer, and marketplace rules before spending money: the launch and collectors pages do not settle those present-day details.
