The OneXPlayer X1 Pro is a Windows 3-in-1 gaming PC that can be used as a handheld, tablet, or laptop. Its original Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 generation launched with up to 64GB of RAM and 4TB of storage; a May 2026 refresh moved to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 but was listed with 32GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage. The newer chip is the headline change—not a larger memory configuration.
What the X1 Pro is—and what “upgrade” means
The X1 Pro combines a Windows tablet with detachable game controllers and a keyboard case. Remove or attach the inputs to switch between handheld gaming, tablet use, and a laptop-style setup. It is therefore a portable Windows PC with gaming controls, rather than a conventional tablet with a fixed gamepad.
The headline upgrade report from Hothardware, published April 14, 2025, focused on the original HX 370 model’s high-capacity configurations. The later May 2026 refresh reported by Notebookcheck and VideoCardz changed the processor to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470. The refresh retained the Radeon 890M graphics branding and OCuLink, but its listed configurations had less RAM and storage than the original top-tier launch option.
HX 370 and HX 470 configurations compared
| Version and source date | Processor and graphics | RAM and storage listed | Price information |
|---|---|---|---|
| HX 370 launch, December 2024 presale figures reported by Tom’s Hardware | Ryzen AI 9 HX 370; Radeon 890M | 32GB/1TB, 32GB/2TB, 64GB/2TB, or 64GB/4TB | $1,399, $1,499, $1,699, and $1,799 respectively during the reported presale |
| HX 370 configurations in Hothardware’s April 14, 2025 report | Ryzen AI 9 HX 370; Radeon 890M | 32GB/1TB, 32GB/2TB, or 64GB/4TB | The article reported $1,900 for the 64GB/4TB model; this differs from Tom’s Hardware’s earlier $1,799 presale figure |
| HX 470 refresh, May 21, 2026 reports | Ryzen AI 9 HX 470; Radeon 890M branding retained | 32GB/1TB or 32GB/2TB | Notebookcheck and VideoCardz reported a starting price of $1,799 for 32GB/1TB |
These are prices reported at different dates and for different configurations or sales periods, not a like-for-like current price comparison. The earlier HX 370 launch offered the higher documented memory and capacity ceiling: 64GB and 4TB. The May 2026 HX 470 listings documented 32GB and up to 2TB.

What changed in the 2026 refresh
Processor generation
The refresh replaces the Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 with AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 470. Notebookcheck identified the HX 470 as part of AMD’s Gorgon Point generation. The reported update is principally a processor change; the available reporting does not establish a broader redesign or a new graphics tier.
Graphics and external GPU connection
Both refresh reports say the Radeon 890M branding remains, and the X1 Pro continues to include OCuLink. OCuLink is relevant to buyers considering an external GPU setup, but the supplied product reports do not provide performance figures for one. Do not assume a specific gaming-performance gain from the processor change alone.

Memory, storage, and other retained hardware
The HX 470 refresh was listed with 32GB of RAM and a choice of 1TB or 2TB storage. Notebookcheck also reported that it retained the 65Wh battery, 10.95-inch display, and detachable controllers. The earlier model’s top launch configuration remains the one documented with 64GB RAM and 4TB storage.
Display and modes of use
The official OneXPlayer Japan product page specifies a 10.95-inch, 2560 × 1600 touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 138% sRGB coverage. It lists the HX 370, Radeon 890M, 12 CPU cores and 24 threads, a boost clock up to 5.1GHz, 32GB LPDDR5X-7500 memory, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 drive for that page’s configuration. Those specifications describe the listed Japanese HX 370 model, not every configuration or the later HX 470 refresh. See the official OneXPlayer X1 Pro page.

For handheld play, the detachable controllers make the tablet easier to use as a gaming device. For laptop-style work, the keyboard case is a separate physical input arrangement; verify whether it is included in the specific offer you are considering. The Japan product page also lists bypass charging, Windows 11, and support for Steam, Epic Games, Xbox Game Pass, and Microsoft Store.
Is the X1 Pro worth its price?
That depends on whether you need its particular combination of a large high-refresh touchscreen, detachable gaming controls, Windows compatibility, and laptop mode. The high-end HX 370 launch options were costly: Tom’s Hardware reported presale prices from $1,399 for 32GB/1TB to $1,799 for 64GB/4TB, while Hothardware later reported $1,900 for the 64GB/4TB model. Those dated figures should not be treated as today’s price.

The HX 470 refresh was reported at $1,799 for 32GB/1TB, with a 32GB/2TB option also listed. That makes configuration and generation especially important when comparing offers: the newer processor does not, in the reported listings, come with the original generation’s 64GB/4TB top configuration. Buyers who value maximum RAM and SSD capacity should compare the HX 370 64GB/4TB version specifically; buyers prioritizing the newer processor should confirm that the listing is actually the HX 470 version.
There is no single “worth it” answer from the specifications alone. The X1 Pro’s value is strongest for someone who will use several of its roles and wants one Windows device to cover them. If the main need is simply a handheld gaming PC, or if the keyboard and detachable modes would go unused, those parts of the design may not justify paying a premium. Aaron Leong of Hothardware described the product as likely to appeal to “a specific type of gamer,” a useful reminder that the convertible format—not only the chip and storage—drives the purchase decision.

Availability: check generation, region, and bundle
Stock and offers have changed over time. The official Japan page currently marks its HX 370 product listing as sold out. Notebookcheck reported in May 2026 that HX 470 pre-orders were scheduled to ship June 1, 2026; that is a dated schedule, not confirmation of present stock. The same report mentioned an Amazon listing for the prior HX 370 model at $1,399, but that is not a guaranteed current price or availability.
Before ordering, verify the processor generation, RAM, SSD size, included keyboard or other accessories, seller, shipping destination, and return terms on the actual listing. A product name alone is not enough to distinguish an HX 370 configuration from an HX 470 refresh or to establish which bundle is being sold.
