NVIDIA’s SFF-Ready label helps identify enthusiast GeForce RTX 40- and RTX 50-series cards designed to fit compatible compact PC cases. A qualifying card is no more than 304 mm long, 151 mm high including the power-cable bend radius, and 50 mm deep— but the label is a starting point, not a substitute for checking the exact case and installation layout.
What NVIDIA’s SFF-Ready label means
NVIDIA announced its SFF-Ready Enthusiast GeForce Cards and Compatible Cases guideline on June 2, 2024, then updated its announcement on January 6, 2025, with GeForce RTX 50-series information. The aim is to make dimensions and power-connector clearance easier to compare, rather than relying on inconsistent product listings. Card listings use “SFF-Ready Enthusiast GeForce Cards”; case listings use “Compatible with SFF-Ready Enthusiast GeForce Cards.” NVIDIA’s announcement and compatibility lists cover eligible products.
The guideline applies to RTX 70-class and higher enthusiast cards in the GeForce RTX 40 and RTX 50 families. NVIDIA’s 2025 update says more than 150 cards across those generations meet it. The label addresses physical fit; it does not certify gaming performance, cooling results, noise, or power consumption.
The SFF-Ready GPU size limits
| Dimension | Maximum | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Height | 151 mm, including power-cable bend radius | Allow room for the bundled connector and cable as installed. |
| Length | 304 mm | Compare with the case’s GPU-length limit and account for any extender. |
| Depth | 50 mm, equivalent to 2.5 slots | Check slot thickness and clearance for adjacent components. |
Those are maximum card dimensions under the guideline, not a guarantee that every qualifying card fits every small-form-factor case. A case must also accommodate the connector and other components.

Examples of RTX cards and compatible cases
NVIDIA’s official list includes Founders Edition models as well as partner cards from ASUS, Colorful, Gainward, GALAX, GIGABYTE, INNO3D, MSI, Palit, PNY, and Zotac. The listed Founders Edition dimensions provide a useful illustration of how much card size varies within the family:
| Graphics card | Dimensions (height × length × depth) |
|---|---|
| GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition | 137 × 304 × 40 mm |
| GeForce RTX 5080 Founders Edition | 137 × 304 × 40 mm |
| GeForce RTX 5070 Founders Edition | 112 × 242 × 40 mm |
Each of those Founders Edition cards appears in NVIDIA’s SFF-Ready list. In particular, the RTX 5070 Founders Edition meets the stated card-size limits, but whether it fits a specific case still depends on the case’s usable GPU space, cable clearance, and orientation.

NVIDIA also lists compact cases with varying internal dimensions:
| Case | Dimensions listed by NVIDIA |
|---|---|
| Cooler Master MasterBox NR200P | 156 × 330 × 60 mm |
| Cooler Master NR200P V2 | 160 × 334 × 80 mm |
| Corsair 2000D | 160 × 365 × 60 mm |
| Fractal Design Terra | 155 × 322 × 62 mm |
| Fractal Design Ridge | 155 × 325 × 56 mm |
| Lian Li A4-H2O | 155 × 322 × 60 mm |
| ASUS Prime AP201 | 170 × 338 × 80 mm |
| NZXT H1 V2 | 155 × 324 × 58 mm |
These are dimensions in NVIDIA’s compatibility listing, not a promise that any card can be installed in every orientation or configuration supported by a case. Check the manufacturer’s specifications for the exact case revision and layout you intend to use.

How to check GPU clearance in a mini-ITX case
- Find the exact card dimensions. Use the GPU maker’s specifications and check height, length, and depth. For SFF-Ready cards, the height limit includes the power-cable bend radius.
- Check usable space in your specific case. Compare the card against the manufacturer’s GPU-space dimensions for your case revision and intended installation orientation—not just the case’s outside dimensions.
- Allow for connector and cable clearance. The bundled power connector and the cable’s bend must fit without pressing against a panel or other component.
- Account for orientation and adapters. A vertical or riser-mounted GPU can change which dimensions matter. If an extender is used, include its space in the length check.
- Verify the full build. Confirm that the card, connector, riser or extender, and other installed components can coexist in the chosen configuration.
NVIDIA specifies that compatible cases should provide 154.5 mm of total clearance from the motherboard or riser PCB to the side or top panel, depending on orientation, and 312 mm of length when a graphics-card extender is used. Those case-clearance figures are distinct from the card’s 151 mm height and 304 mm length limits. Consult the case maker’s installation guidance to confirm how its measurements apply to your layout.

What the guideline does—and does not—tell you
- It helps with fit screening: the shared limits make it easier to narrow down cards and cases before a build.
- It does not replace a case-specific check: mounting orientation, cable routing, exact revision, and neighboring components can affect fit.
- It is not a gaming-performance rating: NVIDIA’s announcement provides no comparative gaming benchmark or thermal test for the label.
