The Incott G23 Pro is worth considering if you want a familiar symmetrical wireless mouse and the ability to replace its main switches without soldering. Its PAW3950ES-KING sensor and included 8K receiver make the specification sheet appealing, but those features do not make it the lightest option or the right shape for every hand. The deciding questions are whether you will use switch swapping, whether its roughly 65 g listed weight suits you, and whether the delivered price and retailer support make sense.
What is the Incott G23 Pro?
This review concerns the original Incott G23 Pro, not every mouse bearing a G23 name. Retailer specifications describe the Pro with a PAW3950ES-KING sensor and an included 8K receiver. The standard G23 is listed with a PAW3395 sensor and a 1K receiver; later G23 V2 products are separate designs and should not be assumed to share the original Pro’s switch system. Check the model name and switch configuration on the exact listing before ordering. MechKeys’ G23 listing sets out the Pro and standard model specifications; launch coverage also distinguishes the receiver and sensor options (IT Home).
MechKeys showed the Pro at $59.99 and the standard G23 at $49.99 in the price snapshot available for this review. Those are retailer prices, not guaranteed current U.S. street prices. Shipping, tax, stock, promotions and return terms affect the actual value. Check the retailer listing for current terms rather than treating those figures as fixed.
Specifications—and what is uncertain
| Feature | G23 Pro information | What to make of it |
|---|---|---|
| Sensor | PAW3950ES-KING, according to retailer specifications | A high-end optical sensor; maximum DPI is not a measure of practical aiming accuracy. |
| Weight | About 65 g in the more consistent retailer listings; a manual mirror reports about 55 g | Published figures conflict. Treat roughly 65 g as the better-supported listing figure, not an independently measured weight. ZOL’s specification page reflects the listing data. |
| Dimensions | Approximately 126 × 63.5 × 40 mm | Listed dimensions; small differences in measuring method or revision are possible. Manual mirror. |
| Connection | 2.4 GHz wireless and wired | The Pro listing includes an 8K receiver. |
| Polling | Selectable up to 8,000 Hz, according to product information | Higher polling can increase system workload and power use; it is not automatically better for every setup. |
| Battery | 500 mAh; approximately 143 hours at 1,000 Hz is a published estimate | Not a guaranteed real-world runtime. The estimate should not be applied to 8K use. IT Home launch coverage. |
| Primary switches | Hot-swappable mechanical switches; product information names Huano transparent-blue/pink-dot switches | The advertised broad compatibility claim is from product documentation, not an independently validated compatibility standard. Manual mirror. |
Maximum DPI figures also vary: one manual mirror lists 45,000, while review coverage gives 42,000. Neither figure is a useful reason by itself to buy the mouse; the discrepancy is another reason to verify the revision-specific documentation rather than rely on a copied specification line. Manual mirror listing 45,000 DPI; EloShapes review.

Shape and comfort matter more than the sensor headline
The shell is symmetrical in outline, with two side buttons on the left for right-handed use. Its proportions are similar in broad concept to the Logitech G Pro X Superlight, but that does not establish identical dimensions, hump position, button height or rear flare. The listed size is about 126 × 63.5 × 40 mm. MechKeys recommends it for hands around 17–19 cm and below; treat that as guidance, not a guarantee of fit.
- Likely fit: medium hands using claw, relaxed claw or fingertip-oriented grips.
- Try another shape if: you need a pronounced right-handed ergonomic contour, a long palm-supporting shell for a larger hand, or a specifically compact mouse.
- For gaming: the left-side buttons offer familiar assignments for FPS, MOBA and general use, but button position and actuation are personal fit questions.
A GPX-like outline is not enough to predict comfort. If shape is your main concern, compare the listed dimensions with a mouse you already use or buy from a seller with practical return terms. MechKeys’ product information gives the dimensions and hand-size guidance.
Hot-swappable switches: the real reason to choose it
The G23 Pro’s defining feature is that its left and right primary mechanical switches can be removed and replaced without soldering. A different switch may change click weight, tactility, sound and travel; replacement may also give you a repair option if a primary click develops an unwanted double-click. It does not make the wheel, side buttons, battery, sensor or other internals modular.

Incott’s documentation advertises compatibility with “99%” of mechanical micro-switches. That is a product claim, not a guarantee that every switch will fit or behave correctly. Pin alignment, housing shape and switch height can matter. Do not force a switch into place or bend its pins to make it fit. The manual mirror describes the replacement process and claim.
Replacing a primary switch
- Turn the mouse off and disconnect its cable.
- Use the designated opening point or latch described in the manual for your revision to release the shell. Do not pry at an unmarked seam or force the clips.
- Carefully remove the existing primary switch, align the replacement, and insert it without bending the pins.
- Reinstall the shell, then test both clicks. Use the supplied switch spacers, if present, to adjust or reduce switch travel.
Confirm the opening method against the manual included with your unit: available documentation describes switch removal and installation, but the exact physical access method should not be assumed identical across revisions. Opening the shell also carries a risk of damaging clips, the finish or internal connections. Repeated opening can affect shell fit or feet, so factor possible replacement feet into long-term ownership.
Gaming performance: capable hardware, practical trade-offs
The PAW3950ES-KING sensor, 2.4 GHz wireless mode and adjustable polling are a strong feature set on paper. The maximum DPI and approximately 750 IPS and 50G figures listed for the Pro are far beyond what most players need to set a usable sensitivity. Sensor specifications alone do not establish tracking quality, wireless reliability or competitive consistency on every PC and firmware version.

Choosing a polling rate
The Pro is listed with wireless polling choices from 125 Hz through 8,000 Hz. Higher polling reports movement more frequently, but 8K does not automatically make aim more accurate. Its usefulness depends on the game, system, display refresh rate and whether you notice a difference; it can also raise CPU/USB workload and reduce battery life. Start at 1K, then compare 2K or 4K and 8K only if your setup handles them comfortably. A reviewer reported stable 8K performance in their own testing, which is not a guarantee for every computer, USB arrangement, game or firmware version. EloShapes’ review discusses its test experience.
Keep the receiver close to the mouse and away from congested USB 3.x ports or hubs if wireless behavior is inconsistent. A high polling setting cannot compensate for interference or a poor receiver position.

Lift-off distance and competitive use
Product specifications commonly list adjustable lift-off distance at 0.7, 1 and 2 mm for the Pro. Lower lift-off can suit players who frequently lift and reposition the mouse, but the preferred setting depends on pad and personal technique. The mouse’s listed sensor and polling capabilities make it a plausible FPS or general gaming option; they do not establish tournament-grade reliability or guarantee an advantage.

Clicks, wheel, and physical details
Product information lists Huano transparent-blue/pink-dot primary switches, a TTC Gold dustproof scroll-wheel encoder, PTFE feet, a skin-like surface coating and RGB lighting. These component names do not establish how a particular unit’s clicks feel or whether its buttons are well balanced. Click crispness, pre- and post-travel, button wobble, wheel detents, middle-click force, side-button placement, shell flex and coating grip are important hands-on checks that published specifications cannot settle.
Available coverage describes the hot-swap hardware as adding weight, one reason the mouse is not a standout choice for weight purists. That modularity can be useful, but if you do not plan to change switches, a simpler and lighter design may be a better fit. EloShapes’ review discusses the G23’s weight and switch hardware.

MechKeys references a downloadable driver, a manual and a web driver, but the available information does not establish the current driver interface, exact menu labels, browser compatibility, onboard profile behavior or whether configuration and firmware updates require a wired connection. Community reports are mixed: some users describe OEM-like software that works, while others report trouble locating the right driver or accessing the web driver. These are anecdotal reports, not proof that every current installation fails. One community discussion describes user impressions; another reports driver availability trouble.
- Confirm the exact G23 Pro model and revision before installing firmware; do not flash a file for a visually similar Incott mouse.
- If the driver is unavailable, basic mouse operation may still work, but remapping, macros, DPI stages, polling, lift-off distance, RGB and firmware controls may be harder to access.
- Check the current listing or seller support for the model-specific manual and software before buying if configuration or firmware access is essential to you.
Battery life and charging
The 500 mAh battery is paired with an approximate 143-hour estimate at 1,000 Hz in published material. Treat that as a manufacturer-style figure, not a promise for your setup. Polling rate, RGB, sleep behavior, wireless conditions, firmware and battery age all affect runtime. In particular, do not extrapolate the 1K estimate to 8K use. A manual listing gives approximately 50 minutes for a full charge, but that is likewise a published figure rather than a measured result for every unit. Manual mirror.
The available specifications identify wired and wireless operation but do not establish whether every revision can be used while charging or whether an extension cable is included for receiver placement. Check the specific package contents and manual for your unit rather than assuming either detail.
G23 Pro versus the standard G23
| Model | Listed sensor | Receiver included | Price snapshot | Best reason to choose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard G23 | PAW3395 | 1K receiver | $49.99 at MechKeys in the available retailer snapshot | Lower listed price if you want the G23 family and do not need the Pro’s included 8K receiver. |
| Original G23 Pro | PAW3950ES-KING | 8K receiver | $59.99 at MechKeys in the available retailer snapshot | Choose for the higher-listed sensor tier and included 8K receiver, as well as the original Pro’s switch feature. |
Prices are retailer snapshots, not guaranteed current offers; shipping, tax and return terms may change the difference. Later G23 V2 models are not substitutes by name alone: some listings describe different designs and do not establish that they retain the original Pro’s hot-swap system. Who should buy it—and who should pass?
Good fit
- You want a symmetrical, medium-sized wireless shape and use a claw, relaxed-claw or fingertip-oriented grip.
- You value primary-switch customization or want a non-soldered replacement path if a main click fails.
- You want a capable sensor and 2.4 GHz wireless, and have a practical use for an 8K mode.
- You are comfortable checking specialist-retailer shipping, tax, support and return conditions.
Look elsewhere
- You prioritize the lowest possible weight: the more consistent listings put this mouse around 65 g, not in the 30–55 g enthusiast range.
- You need a strongly ergonomic right-handed shell or substantial palm support for a large hand.
- You want polished, highly visible first-party software and support, or do not want to troubleshoot driver access.
- You will never use switch swapping and prefer a lighter, simpler mouse.
- The delivered price approaches newer, lighter alternatives with more convenient regional warranty service.
For example, MechKeys listed the Zaopin ZPW PAW3950 8K at $79.99 and 47 g, making it a lighter option at a higher snapshot price; it is not presented as a hot-swappable-switch equivalent. The listed Zaopin Z2 Mini variants were $49.99 and offer swappable-switch options, but the smaller shell makes them a poor direct fit for someone seeking the G23 Pro’s proportions. These are retailer snapshots, not guaranteed offers. MechKeys’ listings for the ZPW and G23 V2; MechKeys’ Z2 Mini listings.
Quick Recap
Buying checks before you order
- Confirm the listing says original G23 Pro and explicitly identifies the 8K receiver and hot-swappable primary switches.
- Calculate delivered cost, including shipping and tax, and read the seller’s current warranty and return terms. MechKeys’ listing describes a limited return window and possible deductions, so do not assume a no-cost local return. Retailer terms and listing.
- Check whether the package for your region and revision includes the cable, receiver, replacement feet, spacers and any extra switches. Listings and manual mirrors do not report contents consistently; do not count on an accessory unless the seller confirms it.
- Compare the shape and approximate dimensions with a mouse you already find comfortable.
- If you plan to swap switches, verify the manual’s opening method and source physically compatible replacements before opening the shell.
