To catch up later, check that event’s LoL Esports page and its official Twitch or YouTube channel for a broadcast VOD. A VOD is not the same as the League client’s Replay feature, which is for recent games played in the client.
Find the current match schedule
Go to the LoL Esports schedule and look for the league or event, match, and date you want. Listings include matchups and series formats such as Bo1, Bo3, and Bo5. The slate and start times change, so check the page for the day you plan to watch and convert the displayed time to your local time rather than relying on an old schedule.
Watch a match live
- Open the event or match listing. Start from the LoL Esports schedule and select the relevant listing.
- Use the watch player or event links. Riot describes LoLEsports.com as a watch platform with an embedded Twitch or YouTube player. The specific event page is the best place to check which broadcast channels and languages are available for that event.
- Choose an official direct broadcast if you prefer. Riot’s event guides may list official Twitch channels; event availability can vary, so use the current event page rather than assuming a channel list applies across competitions or seasons.
LoL Esports is the convenient starting point for the schedule and embedded viewing experience; direct Twitch or YouTube broadcasts are another route when the event page identifies them. Riot’s platform description does not guarantee that every event will offer the same channels or language options.
Find an official esports replay (VOD)
After a match, check the LoL Esports page for the league or event and the associated official Twitch or YouTube channel’s video or VOD area. Look for the match date, teams, and event name to identify the right broadcast recording.

Replay availability is not guaranteed for every match, region, or language, and the official sources do not establish a fixed upload time or a complete global archive. If a VOD is not listed, check the event’s own page and official broadcast channel again; there is no universal posting schedule to rely on.
Esports VODs and League client replays are different

For your own recent match, Riot Support’s Replays FAQ & Pro-Tips says to use the download button on the End of Game screen or find the game in Match History. Once downloaded, choose “Watch Replay” to open it in the client. Those steps do not provide an archive of professional broadcasts.

Check event rules before watching for rewards
Watching a stream and qualifying for a reward are separate things. Riot’s 2024 Drops guidance says eligible Drops are tied to live broadcasts rather than VODs, and that participation, sign-in, and regional availability can vary. A separate MSI 2025 guide required viewers seeking its named rewards to watch live on LoLEsports.com while signed in with a Riot ID. Those are dated, event-specific examples, not a standing promise of rewards for every match. Check the current event’s reward rules for its requirements.
