Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon’s free Fists of Fury DLC launched on 1 October 2026 alongside update 1.30, also referred to as version 1.3.0. The DLC adds a questline and the gear and skills for an unarmed combat build. The update also brings optimization and stability improvements, Steam Deck graphics presets, and Xbox Play Anywhere support.
What does Fists of Fury add?
Fists of Fury makes fighting without conventional weapons a supported character-build option rather than simply an improvised combat choice. Its additions are:
- A new questline, including a dedicated teacher for the unarmed path.
- A new fistfighting weapon category.
- New armor and items.
- A dedicated skill tree.
Together, those additions give players equipment and progression systems built around fistfighting. The announcement does not specify the quest’s length or give a detailed breakdown of the new items.
Is the DLC free, and what do you need to play it?
Steam lists Fists of Fury as free, with a release date of 1 October 2026. Its listing also says that the Steam version of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is required. The free price applies to the DLC, not the base game.

The Steam requirement is specific to that storefront. A report published around the launch lists the game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, but that alone does not establish DLC availability, entitlement, or release timing on each console storefront. Check the relevant platform’s store for its current listing.
