Riot Games reconoció, según la cobertura de Sheep Esports, que los árbitros debieron repetir la ronda en la que el ratón de Doğan «xeus» Gözgen dejó de disparar contra 100 Thieves. Sin embargo, mantuvo el 2-0 para 100 Thieves. Como respuesta a problemas repetidos con ratones durante VALORANT Champions 2026 en Shanghái, Riot pidió temporalmente a los jugadores que usaran ratones con cable y anunció que cambiaría los escritorios metálicos personalizados.
Qué ocurrió en la partida entre FUT y 100 Thieves
El incidente se produjo en una ronda anti-eco de Split, durante la primera mitad del encuentro de VALORANT Champions 2026. El ratón de xeus dejó de disparar y FUT perdió la ronda. Los árbitros no la revirtieron durante el partido.
La cobertura contemporánea de Sheep Esports, publicada el 1 de octubre de 2026, informó después que Riot determinó que la ronda debía haberse repetido y reconoció que la decisión arbitral inicial fue un error. Sheep Esports reprodujo además una frase atribuida al comunicado de Riot: «the experience at Champions so far has not met the standards we expect for players and fans».
Por qué Riot mantuvo el resultado
Riot no cambió el marcador final: 100 Thieves conservó la victoria por 2-0. Según la explicación que Sheep Esports atribuye a Riot, las alternativas posteriores habrían dado la victoria a un equipo que había competido bajo las mismas condiciones y que no era responsable del error arbitral.

La decisión distingue entre reconocer que la ronda debió repetirse y modificar el resultado del encuentro: Riot admitió lo primero, pero no aplicó un remedio que alterara el ganador.
Qué medidas tomó Riot con los ratones y los escritorios
Tras problemas repetidos con ratones en el torneo, Riot pidió temporalmente a los participantes que usaran conexiones cableadas. También anunció que sustituiría los escritorios metálicos personalizados por otros fabricados con un material distinto, según Sheep Esports.

No permite afirmar si se debió al ratón, a una interferencia, a la conexión inalámbrica, a los escritorios o a otro problema. El anuncio de cambiar los escritorios tampoco demuestra por sí solo que estos causaran el incidente.

La ficha confirma la existencia de un reglamento para el circuito, pero no basta para identificar qué disposición concreta debía aplicarse a este fallo de hardware ni cómo Riot la interpretó.
