Its four pods and independent controls are practical distinctions from wired units, but the manufacturer’s specifications include an unresolved channel-count inconsistency, and the clinical figures Wellue publishes do not establish results for this exact retail model. The evidence here is manufacturer information and an FDA clearance record, not independent hands-on testing.
What comes with the Wellue KTR-2493?
Wellue lists a kit containing four TENS modules, four electrode pads, a remote control, an instruction/user manual, and a charging cable. The device does not require a phone app, according to the manufacturer. Its wireless pods avoid the lead wires used by conventional wired units; that may simplify setup and allow more freedom of movement, but it does not establish better pain relief or comfort.
How do the controls and specifications compare with the intended use?
The manufacturer lists nine modes and 16 intensity levels per channel, with mode and intensity controlled independently. The maximum listed session duration is 30 minutes. Listed electrical specifications are 1–100 Hz pulse frequency, 120 μs pulse width, square-wave pulse shape, and 5–100 Vpp peak-to-peak output voltage. It also lists a 100 mAh battery, USB-C charging, and a two-hour charging time.
Wellue advertises up to ten 30-minute sessions per charge. That is a manufacturer runtime claim, not an independently tested battery result. The product page also has a specification inconsistency: it promotes four independent channels and four pods, but lists “Output Channel: Single Output.” Buyers who need a particular channel configuration should ask Wellue to clarify this before purchase.

Is the KTR-2493 FDA-cleared?
Yes. The FDA 510(k) database lists KTR-2493 among Transcutaneous Electronic Nerve Stimulator models under clearance K242332. The record names Shenzhen Kentro Medical Electronics Co., Ltd. as applicant and shows a substantially equivalent decision dated November 5, 2024. What does the clinical evidence say—and what does it not say?
Wellue’s 2026 clinical-evaluation summary describes a reviewed 60-day study that enrolled 130 people, of whom 88 completed follow-up. Among those completing follow-up, 80.7% reportedly described improvement in chronic pain at 60 days; 80.3% of responders reportedly reduced concomitant pain-medication use. These are figures reported in the manufacturer’s summary, not a guarantee of benefit.

Safety warnings and use restrictions
Follow the current user manual and product labeling. Wellue says not to place electrodes on swollen, infected, inflamed, or damaged skin; over the chest, head, eyes, mouth, or front of the neck; or in a transthoracic arrangement that sends current through the heart. The manufacturer warns of arrhythmia risk and says not to use the device while sleeping.

Wellue lists a four-pack of reusable replacement electrode pads and estimates up to 80 uses per pad. That is the manufacturer’s estimate, not an independently measured lifespan. Confirm that replacement pads are specifically compatible with the KTR-2493 and check their current price before buying.
