Eminem is confirmed as a guest on “7 Sins,” a track on Kid Rock’s upcoming album Halfway to Jesus, according to Complex, which said it verified the listing with a representative from Eminem’s camp. The song has not been reported as released, and the album has no announced release date. The pairing has drawn criticism from some fans because Eminem has publicly opposed Donald Trump while Kid Rock has supported him; the collaboration does not, by itself, show that Eminem has changed his politics.
What is confirmed about “7 Sins”
Kid Rock’s track listing names Eminem on “7 Sins.” Complex first reported fan skepticism about the listing on October 1, 2026, then reported the next day that an Eminem representative confirmed the feature was genuine. That confirmation makes the collaboration more than an unverified track-list rumor, but it does not establish when the song or album will be released.
Complex described Halfway to Jesus as upcoming and said no release date had been announced in its October 2 account. The report does not provide the verse’s contents, and there is no confirmed physical-edition or preorder information in the cited coverage.
Why the collaboration is drawing criticism
The criticism centers on the artists’ publicly different political positions. Eminem sharply criticized Trump in a 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards performance. The Daily Beast reported that he endorsed Kamala Harris at a Detroit rally in 2024. Kid Rock, by contrast, has publicly supported Trump. Those events help explain why some commenters see the pairing as a contradiction, but a feature on a song is not evidence that Eminem has reversed or softened his political views.

Complex and The Daily Beast captured sharply critical reactions, including comments calling the listing a disappointment or questioning why Eminem would work with a conservative whose views differ from his. Other commenters defended the artists’ longstanding connection or said they wanted to hear the track before judging it. These are examples of social-media discussion, not a poll or a measure of Eminem fans as a whole.
What Kid Rock says the collaboration means
Kid Rock framed the track as an example of friendship surviving political disagreement. In the album foreword excerpted by Complex, he wrote: “His verse speaks to something we’ve talked about and that really needs to be heard: we differ politically and on other things, but we’ve stayed friends through it all.” He added: “We hope that sets an example for people who’ve lost friends or stopped talking to family because they think differently.”

That is Kid Rock’s stated rationale; the published account does not provide a separate explanation from Eminem. The idea of remaining friends despite disagreement is also consistent with a 2024 remark by Kid Rock reported by The Daily Beast: “Let me tell you, I love Eminem; we’ve been friends for many years. I don’t agree with his politics, but I do give credit to him…for standing up and not being afraid to be vocal for that which they believe.”

This is not their first musical connection. Complex identifies “Fuck Off,” on Kid Rock’s 1998 album Devil Without a Cause, as an earlier collaboration. Kid Rock also appeared in the video for Eminem’s 2013 song “Berzerk.” Their history provides context for the new feature, though it does not settle how listeners will respond to “7 Sins.”
