Cultures, pêche, cuisine, artisanat et relations avec les habitants rappellent les ingrédients de Stardew Valley, mais le jeu les transpose dans un univers de fantasy post-apocalyptique, avec construction détaillée et exploration de temples. Attention toutefois : cette version sera incomplète, et non le jeu final.
Qu’est-ce que Moonfrost ?
Développé par Oxalis Games, Moonfrost est un jeu solo de simulation de vie agricole mêlé à des éléments de RPG. Son histoire se déroule dans un monde bouleversé par des pluies de météorites glacées et l’apparition d’une Seconde Lune. Le joueur incarne un Frost Hunter chargé d’aider à reconstruire un village.
La boucle de jeu annoncée associe activités quotidiennes et progression dans le monde :
- Cultiver, pêcher, cuisiner et fabriquer des objets.
- Récolter des ressources et construire ou décorer sa maison ainsi que des bâtiments pour les habitants.
- Explorer des temples et combattre, tout en découvrant l’histoire liée à la Seconde Lune.
- Nouer des amitiés et, à terme, des romances avec certains personnages.
Oxalis décrit une présentation en pixel art, avec une perspective isométrique et des éléments en 2.5D. C’est le positionnement visuel du studio, pas une appréciation indépendante du résultat.

Pourquoi le comparer à Stardew Valley ?
La comparaison tient aux activités familières du genre : agriculture, fabrication, pêche, cuisine, aménagement et liens avec les habitants. Elle sert à situer le type de jeu, mais ne signifie pas que Moonfrost reprend exactement les systèmes, le rythme ou la qualité de Stardew Valley.
Son cadre post-apocalyptique fantastique, sa caméra isométrique, la construction pièce par pièce et l’exploration des temples lui donnent un accent différent. Ceux qui cherchent surtout une simulation agricole peuvent y trouver une autre proposition; ceux qui souhaitent aussi explorer et progresser dans une aventure narrative devraient regarder ces éléments de plus près. Aucun test indépendant n’établit encore comment ces systèmes fonctionnent en pratique.

Quand sort Moonfrost, et sur quelles plateformes ?
L’accès anticipé est annoncé sur Steam pour le 12 octobre 2026. La date concerne cette sortie Steam : la FAQ officielle évoque aussi une sortie prévue sur Epic Games Store, sans annoncer de date distincte pour cette plateforme. Le studio indique se concentrer actuellement sur Windows.
Une démo est proposée sur Steam avant la sortie. La fiche du jeu précise qu’il s’agit d’un accès anticipé et que le jeu n’est pas complet; il est donc possible de découvrir une partie de l’expérience avant que l’histoire et les relations soient entièrement développées.

Quel contenu sera disponible en accès anticipé ?
Dans son annonce du 29 septembre 2026, l’équipe prévoit environ 50 % de l’histoire principale, avec l’exploration du temple jusqu’au niveau 19. Onze habitants doivent être rencontrables au lancement, et les relations seront plafonnées au niveau 3. La version 1.0 doit compléter l’histoire et ouvrir tous les événements d’amitié, y compris les romances avec tous les personnages célibataires.
La FAQ du studio envisage d’ajouter l’ensemble de l’histoire principale en moins de six mois, mais précise que l’accès anticipé pourrait durer plus longtemps selon les retours et le contenu ajouté. C’est une intention de développement, pas une date ferme pour la version 1.0. L’équipe présente l’accès anticipé comme une période où le monde, l’histoire et le village continueront à grandir avec les retours des joueurs.

L’annonce Steam Community du 29 septembre 2026 fixe le prix annoncé à 14,99 $ US. Ce montant ne garantit pas le prix dans chaque région ni un tarif permanent : la fiche Steam prévient que le prix peut augmenter à mesure que du contenu est ajouté.
La configuration minimale publiée sur Steam au 3 octobre 2026 est la suivante. Ces exigences peuvent être modifiées par le développeur.

À qui l’accès anticipé peut-il convenir ?
Moonfrost peut retenir l’attention des amateurs de jeux de ferme qui veulent aussi reconstruire un village, aménager des bâtiments et explorer des temples. La question pratique est moins de savoir s’il est « le prochain Stardew Valley » que de déterminer si son mélange d’agriculture, de construction et d’aventure vous attire suffisamment pour jouer à une version dont une partie du scénario et des relations reste à venir.
Si vous préférez attendre une histoire complète et l’ensemble des événements relationnels, l’accès anticipé n’offre pas encore ces éléments. La démo Steam permet de vous faire une première idée avant d’acheter.
