That is a meaningful footprint for a display model, so measure the shelf or cabinet where you plan to put it before buying. What can the model do?
Console buttons and controller
The model has functional Open and Power buttons, and the controller plugs into the console. LEGO says its designers worked from original schematics with PlayStation and developed new LEGO elements for the controller buttons and the console’s Open and Power buttons. In LEGO’s designer article, a designer identified as Frédéric calls the lid opening “probably our biggest challenge.” That explains some of the engineering attention behind the feature, but it is not independent evidence of how the mechanism feels or holds up in use. Two concealed game scenes
Inside the console are two buildable scenes referencing Gran Turismo and Ape Escape. The Gran Turismo scene includes a miniature track and small cars; the Ape Escape scene features the recognizable monkey helmet, with red and blue options. Both scenes can be removed and displayed separately, and PlayStation describes customizable elements in each. They add game-specific detail beyond the console-and-controller silhouette, though the official material does not establish their assembled size or how much display space they need individually. LEGO announced recommended retail prices of £139.99 in the UK, €159.99 in euro pricing, and US$179.99 in the United States. PlayStation’s announcement also lists ¥27,980 including tax for Japan. These are announced recommended prices, not a promise of current stock or the price at every retailer.

PlayStation says direct.playstation.com sales began on 1 October in the United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
