When does The Last Cat in the Universe come out on Switch?
The Nintendo Switch release date is October 29, 2026. Nintendo lists the game as a download release in its Brazilian eShop product page, and its Taiwan software schedule lists the same date.
Nintendo’s listing specifies digital distribution. The sources confirming the Switch launch do not establish a physical cartridge edition, so there is no confirmed physical-versus-digital choice for Switch. The product page reviewed does not state a price; check the eShop for your territory for current pricing.
What kind of game is it?
The Last Cat in the Universe is a short, single-player narrative incremental game set on a failing space station after humanity has disappeared. You play as an AI whose task is to care for a small, frightened cat. To make a safe home for her, you salvage materials and manage the station’s remaining resources.

Nintendo describes the score as composed with Venezuelan singer-songwriter Diora Salazar. Its game description estimates about two to three hours of play, intended to fit into one or two sessions; that is Nintendo’s estimate, not an independently measured play time.
