You can stream multiple prerecorded educational videos in sequence as one continuous YouTube Live feed, provided an encoder or compatible cloud service plays the recordings and sends the resulting feed to YouTube. YouTube documents both a hardware example and cloud-based 24/7 streaming; it does not establish that YouTube Studio has a universal built-in playlist scheduler for rotating uploaded videos.
How a 24/7 recorded-video stream works
An encoder or streaming service composes the output from your recordings, then sends that feed to YouTube Live using your stream key. The service must support the playlist behavior you need, including sequential playback, looping or scheduling, and transitions. YouTube’s encoder guide documents the general encoder workflow and examples of products used for prerecorded streaming, but does not prescribe one universal playlist format.
YouTube names the AJA HELO Plus, with optional PlayToStream functionality for scheduling prerecorded media and sending it directly to YouTube Live without a computer. Its guide also identifies Gyre as a cloud-based tool for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming. These are documented examples, not required products or endorsements; confirm each vendor’s current features and operating limits before choosing.
What to check before you start
Confirm livestream eligibility
YouTube says a channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions in the preceding 90 days. First-time livestream enablement can take up to 24 hours. Check the channel’s eligibility and activate livestreaming ahead of your planned launch. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Clear rights for every recording and element
Educational use alone does not give you permission to rebroadcast a lesson, excerpt, image, or soundtrack. YouTube’s livestream terms say the provider warrants it has the necessary rights to exploit live content worldwide, including music licensing rights. Check the rights for every video and for any music, images, or other material within it, including rights relevant to the territories where the stream may be available and to any archive you intend to keep. Read YouTube’s livestream terms and conditions.
Choose an implementation that fits your operating plan
Before committing to hardware or a hosted service, verify that it supports the playlist size and playback sequence you intend to use, how it handles transitions and the end of the list, and what happens after a network, power, or source-file failure. Also decide who will monitor alerts and restart the stream if needed. Current vendor pricing, service plans, and uptime guarantees are not established by YouTube’s product examples.

Set up and test the stream
- Prepare the channel. Verify the channel and enable livestreaming early enough to account for first-time activation.
- Inventory the playlist. List each recording and every embedded or separately added audio and visual element; confirm you have the necessary rights for the planned live broadcast and any archive.
- Select an encoder or hosted service. Confirm that the specific device or service supports sequential prerecorded playback, looping or scheduling, and the transitions you need. Do not assume a generic encoder automatically provides playlist management.
- Create the live stream in YouTube Live Control Room. Set up the destination and stream key, then enter the key in the encoder or service according to its instructions. Keep the key private.
- Preview before going public. Check that YouTube receives the correct picture and audio and that the stream is accessible on the intended watch page and mobile devices.
- Test the whole playlist and recovery behavior. Check a transition between recordings, the end of the list, a restart, a network interruption, and recovery after a source or encoder failure. This is practical preparation, not a YouTube-mandated playlist test protocol.
- Monitor while live. Watch stream availability, audio, and video; assign someone to receive alerts and follow the restart plan. YouTube recommends bandwidth headroom, failover checks, access checks, and continuous monitoring in its streaming tips.
Plan separately for an archive
YouTube’s encoder guide says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume an uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast will be saved as one complete video. If you need an archive, check YouTube’s current behavior for your setup and make a separate recording or retention plan. The guide’s archive statement is at YouTube’s encoder-streaming help page.

Common problems and fixes
- The channel cannot go live: confirm verification, check for a livestream restriction in the preceding 90 days, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- The playlist stops or does not advance: check that the chosen encoder or service explicitly supports the sequence, looping or schedule, and end-of-list behavior you configured; test a complete cycle before launch.
- The stream drops during an outage: verify the connection has bandwidth headroom, test failover and recovery, and use the monitoring and restart plan you prepared. YouTube recommends failover testing but does not prescribe a specific recovery setup for every encoder.
- The stream works, but a recording or soundtrack raises a rights issue: educational subject matter does not itself establish broadcast permission. Review rights for each recording and included element, including music, before streaming.
- The full broadcast is not available as one archive: YouTube’s cited guidance only says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. For a 24/7 broadcast, arrange a separate recording or archive strategy rather than assuming a single complete YouTube archive.
