Age Twisters is a two-player cooperative adventure built around switching between different ages to solve puzzles together. A brief Gamescom hands-on preview points to an approachable, playful experience, but it is too early to judge the full game’s difficulty or suitability for every age. Steam currently lists its release date as “To be announced.”
What is Age Twisters?
Age Twisters is a narrative adventure for two players, with local and online co-op listed on its Steam page. Its story pairs a grandfather with his granddaughter as they search for her mother, who disappeared years earlier. A package containing Age Twisters bracelets gives them the ability to change their ages.
The premise makes cooperation part of both the story and the gameplay: the two characters work together, using abilities associated with different life stages to get past hazards.
How age-switching shapes the puzzles
Players can switch in real time between childhood, adolescence, adulthood and old age. Steam says each age has different skills, though its listing does not provide a complete ability roster.

In its short Gamescom demo, MP1st’s October 1 hands-on preview observed toddler forms using grappling hooks to cross gaps, while teenage forms used instruments to change the speed of objects and projectiles. Those examples show how the game can ask players to coordinate different age-based abilities; they are observations from a brief session, not a definitive list of mechanics.
Steam’s description also teases varied set pieces, including growing palm trees, a desert chase, dancing to infiltrate a base, teleporting chickens, disguising as a suitcase, riding an animatronic T-Rex and exploring a dark spider nest. Treat these as advertised examples, not a confirmed full level list.

What the hands-on preview says about difficulty
MP1st found the demo’s puzzles manageable and reported no true fail states during its brief session. The preview’s impression was that the game aims to welcome players with different levels of gaming experience without making the puzzles feel trivial.
That is an early impression, not a verdict on the finished game. A short demo cannot establish how challenging later sections will be, and the cited sources do not establish a formal age rating or guarantee that the game is suitable for every child.

Playing together: local, online and Friend’s Pass
Steam lists both local and online co-op. It also advertises a Friend’s Pass: one player buys the game and can invite a second player to play free. The listing further says the game has full controller support. For local PC play, compatible controllers are an option, not a stated requirement.
Release timing, platforms and PC requirements
Steam currently says Age Twisters is not available and gives its release date as “To be announced.” MP1st’s preview lists PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2 and PC. A Windows Central preview published September 6 described the game as penciled in for 2027 across those platforms. That is a preview-era expectation, not a date confirmed by the current Steam listing.

Who might enjoy Age Twisters?
The strongest fit is a pair of players looking for a story-led co-op adventure where teamwork and changing abilities drive the puzzles. Its family-centered premise and the preview’s manageable demo puzzles may appeal to players seeking a lower-pressure starting point, but the final game’s challenge and age suitability are not established yet.
