Tabletop Growth Partners (TGP), a new agency founded by Anjuli Smith, launched in October 2026 to help tabletop businesses with marketing, digital storefronts, crowdfunding and subscriptions, international business development, and trade-show representation. Its intended clients include TTRPG and wargaming businesses and smaller board-game publishers seeking international distribution. The launch coverage describes its services but reports no prices, contract terms, or client outcomes.
What Tabletop Growth Partners does
TGP combines strategic advice with practical support intended to help tabletop businesses reach customers and industry partners. Its announced services cover several parts of that work:
- Marketing and storefronts: marketing strategy and digital storefront optimization.
- Crowdfunding and subscriptions: support for campaign planning and recurring-revenue models.
- International business development: introductions to distributors and assistance with sales and negotiation meetings, particularly for smaller publishers.
- Trade-show representation: representing publishers at events including SPIEL Essen, PAX Unplugged, GAMA Expo, and UK Games Expo.
BoardGameWire reported that TGP was accepting custom audits and retainer work, as well as bookings for 2027 trade-show representation, when it covered the launch on October 2, 2026. The reports do not specify what an audit or retainer includes, or the agency’s fees or contract terms. TGP describes its proprietary framework, “The RPG Engine,” through three pillars. These are the agency’s announced approach, not independently measured results.

This pillar addresses recurring subscriptions, digital catalog metadata, and conversion strategy. The announcement names MyMiniFactory Tribes and Patreon as examples of subscription platforms; it does not establish a partnership or affiliation between TGP and either service.
Pipeline
Pipeline covers crowdfunding drops, release calendars, and asset-production workflows. The launch announcement names FronTiers and BackerKit as examples in the crowdfunding context; it does not establish that TGP is affiliated with those platforms.

Growth combines story-led community marketing with business-to-business representation at international conventions. The emphasis is on connecting a tabletop product’s narrative and audience-building with opportunities to meet trade partners.
Why representation may matter to smaller publishers
International events can put publishers in front of distributors and other business contacts, but attending requires time and money that a small team may need for selling and running its business. Smith told BoardGameWire: “For a small publisher the costs of flights, hotels, and a booth are huge. Asking them to then take time away from sales to talk to others simply isn’t an option.”

She also described access to industry contacts as a barrier: “An available network is a huge blocker for many smaller and newly launched publishers. Getting your games in front of the right people who know how to market them (and will in fact market them) is key to expansion.”
Those comments explain the problem TGP says it aims to address; they do not establish that a particular introduction will result in distribution or sales. BoardGameWire reported that Smith was in talks with three board-game publishers about representation at Spielwarenmesse in Nuremberg in February 2027. The report named Canadian publisher Acolyte, which was seeking UK and European distribution, as one of them. These discussions were prospective, not confirmed client engagements.

Who founded TGP
Anjuli Smith founded the agency and left her marketing and brand role at MyMiniFactory at the end of September 2026 to focus on TGP, according to BoardGameWire. The interview also describes earlier roles at Asmodee UK and Aconyte Books, and work at MyMiniFactory connecting established tabletop properties with 3D printing. These details are reported career history, not an independent assessment of agency performance.
Smith’s stated view is that tabletop and 3D products depend on more than technical features. GamingTrend quoted her: “Products in the tabletop and 3D space don’t grow on technical specifications alone, they grow on human connection and narrative engagement.”

Its announced advocacy and MyMiniFactory connection
TGP announced that it was an ambassador for MyMiniFactory’s Soulcrafted initiative. GamingTrend also reported the agency’s stated position, “No to AI, Dare to be Human,” and its commitments to human artistry, creator intellectual property, and underrepresented voices in tabletop leadership. These are advocacy positions announced by the agency; the launch coverage does not report measured impact.
The ambassador announcement does not, by itself, establish a commercial partnership, affiliate relationship, or terms between TGP and MyMiniFactory. The coverage does not confirm affiliate relationships with the other named services either.
What publishers should establish before hiring an agency
The launch announcement describes TGP’s intended services but does not provide evidence with which to judge client results or compare providers. A publisher considering TGP or another specialist agency can use these questions to define the engagement:
