Its advertised “0.1 ms” response figure is MPRT; AOC separately lists a minimum 0.3 ms GtG response time. The monitor is expected in Q1 2027, and AOC has not yet announced local European pricing.
What AOC has announced
The AGON PRO AGP257FT is a 24.5-inch (62.2 cm) Full HD esports display built around an oxide-based Fast IPS panel. AOC announced it on 30 September 2026. The headline specifications are manufacturer claims, not results from independent testing. AOC’s announcement gives the following details:
- Resolution and size: 1920 × 1080 on a 24.5-inch panel.
- Refresh: 1,000 Hz native, with an overclock option to 1,050 Hz.
- Response-time ratings: 0.1 ms MPRT and minimum 0.3 ms GtG.
- HDR and image specifications: VESA DisplayHDR 400, 20-zone local dimming, typical brightness of 450 nits, 99% sRGB coverage and 90% DCI-P3 coverage.
- Motion and sync features: Motion Blur Reduction Plus and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible support.
- Ports: two HDMI 2.1 inputs, one DisplayPort 2.1 input, headphone output and a USB hub with three 5 Gbps USB-A ports; one USB-A port supports BC1.2 fast charging.
What does the 0.1 ms response time measure?
The 0.1 ms figure is MPRT, or moving-picture response time. AOC also lists a minimum 0.3 ms GtG figure, referring to grey-to-grey pixel transitions. These are different metrics, so the 0.1 ms claim should not be read as 0.1 ms GtG or as an independently measured transition time. Both numbers are manufacturer specifications; the announcement does not provide independent test measurements.
Is 1,000 Hz native or overclocked?
AOC specifies 1,000 Hz as the monitor’s native refresh rate at 1920 × 1080, with an overclock option reaching 1,050 Hz. At 1,000 Hz, the display can refresh once every millisecond, as AOC notes. That describes the screen’s refresh capability; it does not mean a game or connected PC will render 1,000 frames per second. AOC has not stated a minimum graphics card, game-specific frame rate or the cable requirements for operating at every maximum mode.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
What do the other display specifications mean?
The monitor combines an IPS panel with a very high refresh-rate target. AOC also lists 20-zone local dimming and VESA DisplayHDR 400, alongside typical brightness of 450 nits. The announcement provides no independent picture-quality measurements, so these figures do not establish how the monitor performs in HDR scenes or how its image compares with another display.
AOC specifies color coverage of 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3. Those are coverage figures, not a guarantee of color accuracy. Motion Blur Reduction Plus and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible support are also listed by AOC; real-world operation depends on the source device and configuration.

What connections does it have?
The stated connections are two HDMI 2.1 inputs, one DisplayPort 2.1 input, a headphone output and three 5 Gbps USB-A ports. One of the USB-A ports supports BC1.2 fast charging. The announcement does not identify the included cables or specify which source-device and cable combinations support the monitor’s highest refresh modes. Check the final product manual and the capabilities of the graphics card or console before planning a setup around 1,000 Hz.
When will the AOC AGP257FT be available?
AOC says the monitor is expected to become available from Q1 2027. It has not announced local European pricing, saying that information will come closer to launch. These are announced expectations, not confirmation of a sale date, stock or price in a particular country. PC Gamer’s 1 October 2026 report also covers the announcement, but does not change the need to confirm local availability and pricing with AOC or a retailer nearer launch.

What the specifications do—and do not—show
The AGP257FT’s defining proposition is an unusually high stated refresh rate at Full HD on a 24.5-inch Fast IPS panel. Whether that is useful for a particular player depends on the games, system and setup; the announcement does not establish a required PC configuration or prove that the monitor improves reaction time or match results. César Acosta, Senior Gaming Product Manager at AGON by AOC, described the aim as removing the display as a limiting factor, but that is AOC’s product positioning rather than independent evidence of a competitive advantage.
For a meaningful comparison with another monitor, distinguish native refresh from an overclocked mode, compare resolution and screen size, and check whether response-time numbers use the same metric. Also compare the actual HDR implementation, brightness, color coverage, motion features and input standards. No independent comparative performance results or price are available in AOC’s announcement.
