A community-made PS5 port of 2 Ship 2 Harkinian 5.0.1 brings The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask to a homebrew-capable PlayStation 5. Its maintainer lists 3840 × 2160 output and 60 FPS interpolation enabled by default, but that is not proof of a locked 60 game frames per second throughout the adventure. The project is unofficial, requires console homebrew and a game ROM supplied by the player, and has not been verified through a full playthrough.
What “native 4K at 60 FPS” means here
The port is a PS5 build of 2 Ship 2 Harkinian 5.0.1, a PC project for playing Majora’s Mask. Its project repository lists 3840 × 2160 output and 60 FPS interpolation enabled by default. These are the project’s stated features, not independent measurements of the game’s internal rendering resolution or proof that its simulation runs at a locked 60 frames per second everywhere.
The port also requests a 120 Hz display mode where supported and falls back to 60 Hz automatically. A 120 Hz display request is not the same as 120 FPS gameplay. The maintainer says both full-game frame-rate performance and 120 Hz output remain unverified.
“Native” describes the PS5 port of the community-built software; it does not mean an official PlayStation release, a Nintendo release, or the original Nintendo 64 version running unchanged. The repository says the project is not affiliated with Nintendo.

The maintainer reports that the packaged executable booted on PS5 firmware 9.00 and that startup, HD archive loading, and pause-save configuration were checked. The project says the pause-save action was confirmed by the user. It does not report a full playthrough or verification of every save location, and says music quality and individual sound effects were not exhaustively checked. These are the project’s own validation notes, not an independent test.
What you need to install it
This is a homebrew installation rather than a download from the PlayStation Store. The project lists a homebrew-capable PS5, kstuff, ShadowMountPlus, an active FTP server, a PC for extraction, and a supported Majora’s Mask ROM that the player supplies. The ROM and ROM-derived game archives are not included.

- On a PC, use the official 2 Ship 2 Harkinian 5.0.1 PC build to extract the player’s supported ROM.
- Prepare the PS5 with the required homebrew components and an active FTP server.
- Transfer the files to the console using the project’s Windows or Linux upload helper, or another FTP client.
- Install the title on the console’s M.2 drive and launch it using the project’s instructions.
Follow the repository’s current installation guidance for the exact files and steps; the project requires console modification and does not provide the game itself.
Storage and optional HD assets
The project gives the base title footprint as about 200 MB and says the optional Majora’s Mask Reloaded HD pack needs about 3 GB of additional space. Installation is to the console’s M.2 drive. Those figures are project-reported estimates, not a requirement to buy another drive; an existing M.2 drive may already have room.

How it compares with the PC port and N64 version
These are different ways to play, not interchangeable PS5 editions. The contemporary coverage mentions both the PC port and the original Nintendo 64 cartridge as alternatives, but provides no measured performance comparison.

Choose the PS5 route if you specifically want this community port on a modified console and are comfortable with the extraction and FTP steps. The PC or N64 route avoids this particular PS5 homebrew installation; the available sources do not establish which option performs best.

Is the 4K/60 claim verified?
The project documents 3840 × 2160 output and default 60 FPS interpolation, but does not establish independently measured internal resolution or locked 60 FPS gameplay across the whole game. Its own notes also leave full-game performance and 120 Hz output unverified. The claim is best understood as a description of listed output and interpolation features, not a guarantee of measured performance in every area.
