Qué añade The Witcher 3: Remastered
CD PROJEKT RED publicó el remaster el 29 de septiembre de 2026 y lo presenta como una actualización gratuita para propietarios elegibles en GOG, Steam, Epic Games Store, PS5 y Xbox Series X|S. Quienes tenían The Witcher 3 en Nintendo Switch pueden reclamarlo en Nintendo Switch 2. También está a la venta en Battle.net y Microsoft Store como Xbox Play Anywhere. La elegibilidad depende de la plataforma y de los derechos de propiedad, así que conviene comprobar el caso concreto en la información oficial del lanzamiento. En las plataformas incluidas, el remaster incorpora Hearts of Stone y Blood and Wine, incluso para quienes solo poseían el juego base.
El anuncio oficial promete texturas, vegetación e iluminación revisadas; path tracing en PC y soporte dedicado para PS5 Pro. También enumera ajustes de combate, animaciones, cámara y árbol de habilidades, compatibilidad con mods multiplataforma, interfaz actualizada y características específicas de Switch 2. Otras mejoras anunciadas incluyen movimiento y desplazamiento, efectos de señales, manejo de Roach, comportamiento de monstruos, transfiguración y un modo foto ampliado. La disponibilidad y el resultado visual de varias de estas funciones dependen de la plataforma.
Una función de accesibilidad para necesidades específicas
El modo Bard’s Ballad está pensado para reducir la carga cognitiva y simplificar ciertas mecánicas. CD PROJEKT RED lo describió como “designed to reduce cognitive load for players who experience mental fatigue or have difficulty concentrating” (anuncio oficial). No es una mejora universal en el sentido de que todos los jugadores vayan a preferirla, sino una opción dirigida a quienes encuentran útiles esos ajustes. Por qué la actualización de 2022 sigue siendo el punto de comparación
La versión de 2022 ya había modernizado el juego con una actualización gratuita. Incluyó ray tracing en PC y consolas de nueva generación —con diferencias entre plataformas—, texturas mejoradas, DLSS 3 en hardware compatible, modo foto, pausa durante cinemáticas, una cámara alternativa y progresión cruzada. PS5 y Xbox Series X ofrecían modos de calidad y rendimiento; Xbox Series S no tenía ray tracing. El repaso de CD PROJEKT RED sobre aquella actualización ayuda a entender por qué el remaster se juzga frente a una versión que ya había recibido cambios sustanciales, no solo frente al juego original.
Ese contexto cambia las expectativas: una mejora incremental puede parecer insuficiente para quien esperaba una transformación clara, mientras que un problema nuevo o una diferencia de iluminación pesa más si se compara con una configuración anterior que ya funcionaba bien. La comparación útil no es “remaster frente al original” a secas, sino entre versiones, plataformas y dispositivos concretos.

Qué dicen las primeras impresiones —y qué no prueban
La reseña de Windows Central basada en Xbox Series X elogia los cambios de combate, la nitidez, la iluminación y una mayor densidad ambiental. En la misma cobertura, el medio reportó tartamudeo y texturas del suelo que no cargaban al jugar en una Xbox ROG Ally X. En Reddit, los hilos reúnen opiniones favorables y críticas sobre errores visuales, rendimiento, iluminación, sombras y la comparación con la actualización 4.04. Preguntas como “Is it actually worse?” y “What are your thoughts about the remaster?” son títulos de hilos, no resultados de una medición de opinión. Esos comentarios ilustran la conversación; no permiten concluir que los fans estén divididos en partes iguales ni que los fallos mencionados sean universales (conversación en Reddit).

Los primeros parches muestran por qué importa la fecha
Según Windows Central, el hotfix 5.00b del 1 de octubre corrigió que DLSS no estuviera disponible en la versión de PC de Xbox Play Anywhere, ajustó la iluminación e introdujo otros cambios de paridad. Al 3 de octubre, el medio también informaba que CD PROJEKT RED planeaba otro hotfix para un problema que impedía guardar partidas. El estado de ese fallo puede cambiar con nuevos parches: comprueba las notas de soporte de CD PROJEKT RED para conocer la situación vigente. Los problemas y soluciones deben leerse con su fecha y plataforma, no como un diagnóstico general del remaster.

CD PROJEKT RED atribuye a The Witcher 3 más de 250 premios Game of the Year y más de 65 millones de copias vendidas en todo el mundo, cifras comunicadas por la compañía en 2026. Windows Central informó, por su parte, que el juego superó los 119.000 jugadores simultáneos en Steam durante el lanzamiento del remaster. Son indicadores de su alcance y del interés por el estreno, no pruebas de que la recepción sea positiva o negativa.
