Silence the Idol is a long main trial set in the Television Studio. Its main loop is to prepare each set from the director’s plan, find the hidden switchboard clues with a blacklight, sabotage the recording, then escort the Idol to the next studio. The final studio replaces that loop with a broadcast-disruption objective. This walkthrough follows those phases; when a remembered position or number conflicts with your live objective marker or Studio Plan, follow the in-game cue.
Before you start
Red Barrels introduced Silence the Idol with Season 6: Project Judas on March 24, 2026. The update framed the trial around stopping Bob Vanier’s live announcement after the Kress Twins groom him as a political candidate. Red Barrels’ Project Judas patch notes confirm the launch context. The detailed route below comes from community-maintained walkthroughs, not an official step-by-step guide.
Keep a blacklight spotlight handy for the switchboard clues, and use the Studio Plan camera to check how each set should look. The trial’s exact prop positions and some other mechanics may vary; treat the plan, objective text, and prompts in your current run as authoritative.
Enter the studio and follow the Idol
- Follow the objective to infiltrate the studio and ruin the conference.
- A community route recommends entering through the window to the left of the main entrance, pressing the button, and following the signs to Studio 1. If the entry or signage differs in your run, use the objective marker instead.
- Follow the Idol to Studio 1 and check the objective list for the next task.
Prepare Studio 1, solve the switchboard, and sabotage the recording
Arrange the set
Open the Studio Plan with the director’s camera and use it to guide the setup. Move props along their highlighted rails and rotate them to face the Idol as shown. The community walkthrough describes Studio 1’s prop as a modified stage light. Enemies may interrupt you, so watch patrols while moving and orienting it.

Find the code clues and connect the board
- Once set preparation opens access to the control room, use its spotlight with the blacklight to search the studio for hidden markings.
- Each clue supplies a letter and a number for a colored button group. The listed groups are red A–E and 01–05, green F–J and 11–15, and blue K–O and 21–25.
- Enter the letter-and-number pairs indicated by the clues, then confirm the board. Do not guess: the community walkthrough reports that a wrong confirmation shocks the player.
- Pull the stage-light lever to sabotage the recording.
If you cannot find a clue, search the set and nearby surfaces carefully rather than submitting a partial guess. Red Barrels’ April 1, 2026 hotfix notes documented fixes for obstructed clues, but that historical fix does not establish how every later build behaves.
Escort the Idol and repeat the set loop in Studio 2
After sabotaging Studio 1, follow the objectives to escort the Idol onward and join him at Studio 2. Use that studio’s own plan, locate its blacklight clues, enter the switchboard values, and activate the sabotage before moving on. The available walkthrough does not establish one fixed prop arrangement for every run.

A player guide recommends taking the route around the Television Studio and using the front entrance to reach later studios. It also reports that the Idol moves along the track when a reagent is nearby and that this movement is noisy. Treat these as community observations: follow your objective marker and the cues in your game if the route or behavior differs.
Recharge the power stations before Studio 3
The objective sequence places power-station recharging after escorting the Idol toward Studio 3 and before joining him there. The community walkthrough describes stations on upper floors and gives these thresholds for the two stations it covers:

- Place the modified slit lamp facing the Idol.
- Put the nurse mannequin between the lamp and camera, facing toward the Idol.
- Place the camera to the southwest and aim it northeast.
- Place the light to the southeast and aim it northwest.
Once the setup is accepted, search thoroughly with the blacklight for the divided letter-and-number clues, connect the control-room board, and activate the sabotage. Then escort the Idol toward Studio 4.
Disrupt the Studio 4 broadcast and escape
- Use the spotlight to find the marked audience figures and replace cheering cassettes with booing cassettes. Continue until the approval rating falls from 100% to 0%, as described in the community Television Studio guide. Follow the in-game prompts to confirm each target and cassette action; the guide does not document every cassette location.
- After the approval objective is complete, censor the Idol with the large double-bladed buzzsaw hidden in the talk-show desk.
- Return to the shuttle, wait for it, and exit the trial.
When the route does not match your run
- Prop positions or orientation differ: use the current Studio Plan rather than a remembered layout.
- A clue is hard to see: sweep the set with the blacklight; the April 1 hotfix addressed some obstructed clues, but Red Barrels’ support archive lists later updates through September 2026 without establishing whether every trial layout or clue behavior changed. Check the official update archive for published changes.
- A station does not complete at the community guide’s number: keep charging until the live meter or objective says it is complete; the listed thresholds are not a complete difficulty matrix.
- A cassette icon or inventory action behaves unexpectedly: Red Barrels’ April 1 hotfix also documented cassette display and inventory fixes. That note records a historical fix, not a guarantee about the current build.
Sources and version limits
The trial launch date and premise are documented in Red Barrels’ March 24, 2026 patch notes. Clue mechanics, set layouts, station figures, and the finale steps come from community-maintained guides: Silence the Idol, the Television Studio page on atwiki, and Television Studio. A player route is described in a March 25, 2026 Reddit walkthrough. The official April 1 hotfix and update archive confirm selected fixes and later update dates, but do not establish the current status of every layout, threshold, or enemy behavior.
