It is a fan-made compatibility fix—not a remaster, and it does not include the game itself.
What does the new Ultimate Spider-Man widescreen fix change?
The ThirteenAG release page lists fixes for aspect ratio, field of view (FOV) and full-motion videos (FMVs), along with a partially fixed HUD. It also provides an adjustable frame-rate limit and FOV settings through an INI configuration file.
That means the update reaches beyond making the game fit a widescreen monitor: it also addresses how the camera and interface appear. The HUD fix is described as partial, so it should not be taken as a promise that every interface element is corrected in every situation.
Experimental expanded draw distance
A report by Adrian Werner at Gamepressure, published October 3, 2026, describes an optional setting that increases the rendered area tenfold. The report calls this feature experimental and notes that not everything works perfectly yet; treat it as an option to try, not a guaranteed visual upgrade. The report also mentions improved rendering distance, optional SMAA anti-aliasing, and configurable FOV and frame-rate cap.

How do I play Ultimate Spider-Man on PC in widescreen?
You need a copy of the PC game separately. The fix modifies the game; it is not a game download or bundle. The PCGamingWiki Ultimate Spider-Man compatibility reference identifies the underlying PC title.
- Get the Widescreen Fix archive from the project’s GitHub releases. The release page also links to its source and default INI materials.
- Extract the archive into the game directory, as indicated by the indexed release description.
- Open the supplied INI file to review available FOV and frame-rate-limit settings, then adjust only the options you want to change.
- Launch the game and check the display, HUD and FMVs. If an optional setting causes visual problems, revert that setting in the INI file.
The release excerpt does not provide a full step-by-step installation guide or a complete compatibility matrix for resolutions, Windows versions, graphics cards or frame-rate settings. The steps above therefore cover only what the release description establishes; consult the project page for the current archive and linked configuration materials.

Is this the same as Ultimate Spider-Man Remaster Mode?
No. The current Widescreen Fix focuses on display and compatibility corrections, with configurable FOV and frame-rate options. The separate Nexus Mods package, Ultimate Spiderman Remaster Mode, is a ReShade-based appearance setup with its own files and instructions. Its documentation says to move its files to the game directory, install ReShade for the game executable, and load its settings file. Those steps apply to that package, not automatically to Widescreen Fix.

What about the Ultimate Spider-Man debug menu?
UNK9090’s Ultimate Spider-Man Debug menu for PC is another separate project. Its documentation explicitly requires Ultimate Spider-Man PC Widescreen and Visual C++ 2015 and describes debug features such as warping and character viewing. It is not part of the Widescreen Fix update, and its requirements should not be assumed to apply to the fix itself.
