Its September 29 Week 4 listing puts Dyami Brown ahead of Williams in one receiver grouping; it does not establish the order of the full receiver rotation or predict game-day usage.
What does Washington’s latest depth chart say about Williams?
The Commanders’ September 29 Week 4 unofficial depth chart places Williams behind Dyami Brown in one of its three wide receiver groupings, with Luke McCaffrey behind Williams. The chart separately lists Terry McLaurin, Treylon Burks, Stefon Diggs and Jaylin Lane in other receiver groupings.
Because the team publishes several receiver groupings rather than one overall WR1-through-WR6 ranking, Williams’ position in Brown’s grouping is not an official designation as Washington’s second receiver overall. Calling him a possible WR2 describes a potential role, not what the chart confirms.
How has his listed position changed since Week 1?
| Depth-chart snapshot | First listed in Williams’ grouping | Williams’ position | What the listing establishes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 unofficial chart | Treylon Burks | Second, behind Burks | Williams was listed second in that grouping. |
| Week 4 unofficial chart, released September 29 | Dyami Brown | Second, behind Brown | Williams remained second in the grouping, but its first-listed receiver had changed. |
The charts show a change in the order of names, but do not explain why it occurred. They are listings, not measurements of snaps, targets or production.

What does the listing mean for the London game?
Washington is scheduled to play Indianapolis on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, according to the NFL schedule. The current depth chart gives Williams a place in the receiver rotation, but does not confirm whether he will play, how often he will be on the field, or how many targets he might receive.
The NFL’s 2026 Washington roster page lists Williams as an active wide receiver from Clemson. That confirms his roster status; it does not resolve his likely role against Indianapolis.

What can—and can’t—be concluded about a WR2 role?
- Supported by the chart: Williams is listed behind Brown and ahead of McCaffrey in one Week 4 receiver grouping.
- Not established by the chart: that Williams is Washington’s overall WR2, will play a particular number of snaps, or will receive a particular share of targets.
- Still uncertain: why the first-listed player in his grouping changed from Burks in Week 1 to Brown in Week 4, or how the listing translates to game-day deployment.
So Williams can be described as a candidate for a larger role, but the available official listings do not support presenting him as the confirmed second receiver for the London game.
