Seit dem 1. Oktober 2026 kosten die 2-GB-Versionen des Raspberry Pi 4 und Raspberry Pi 5 in den USA jeweils 12,50 US-Dollar mehr. Raspberry Pi nennt nun 67,50 US-Dollar für den Pi 4 2GB und 77,50 US-Dollar für den Pi 5 2GB. Das sind Herstellerpreise in US-Dollar, keine deutschen Endpreise.

Die Beträge stammen aus der Ankündigung von Raspberry Pi vom 1. Oktober 2026. Sie bezeichnen US-Listenpreise. Daraus lassen sich weder ein deutscher Preis inklusive Mehrwertsteuer noch Händleraufschläge, Verfügbarkeit oder Bestand ableiten.
Welche Modelle sind von dieser Änderung nicht betroffen?
Raspberry Pi erklärte in derselben Mitteilung, dass die Preise der 1-GB-Versionen von Pi 4 und Pi 5 sowie der 2-GB-Versionen von Compute Module 4 und Compute Module 5 bei diesem Schritt unverändert bleiben. Die Meldung betrifft gezielt die beiden 2-GB-Einplatinencomputer.
Warum erhöht Raspberry Pi die Preise?
CEO Eben Upton begründete die Änderung mit steigenden Speicherkosten. Er schrieb, die Kosten für Speicher seien in den vergangenen zwei Jahren stark gestiegen und stiegen weiter. Im April habe Raspberry Pi die Preise für die 1-GB- und 2-GB-Versionen von Pi 4 und Pi 5 noch halten können; das sei inzwischen nicht mehr nachhaltig. Laut Unternehmen sollen Preiserhöhungen bei vielen Produkten mit den Produktionskosten Schritt halten. Das ist die Begründung des Herstellers, keine unabhängige Messung der Entwicklung am Speichermarkt.

Wie passt die Erhöhung in die Preisänderungen von 2026?
Die Oktober-Anpassung folgt auf weitere Änderungen im selben Jahr, setzt diese aber nicht einfach fort: Am 2. Februar kündigte Raspberry Pi Preiserhöhungen für Pi-4- und Pi-5-Produkte mit mindestens 2 GB Speicher an, während 1-GB-Produkte ausgenommen blieben. Am 1. April folgten weitere Erhöhungen, vor allem für Modelle ab 4 GB. Damals hieß es, die 1-GB- und 2-GB-Versionen von Pi 4 und Pi 5 würden zwischen 35 und 65 US-Dollar gehalten. Diese früheren Spannen sind keine aktuellen Preise für die beiden 2-GB-Boards.
Die zeitliche Einordnung stützt sich auf Raspberry Pis Mitteilungen vom 2. Februar und 1. April 2026. Die Oktober-Angaben gelten ab dem 1. Oktober 2026.

Was bedeutet das für die Wahl zwischen 1 GB und 2 GB?
Die Preismeldung ersetzt keine Projektplanung: Entscheidend ist, wie viel Arbeitsspeicher die jeweilige Anwendung tatsächlich benötigt. Raspberry Pi empfiehlt sinngemäß, nicht für mehr RAM zu bezahlen, als das Projekt braucht. Wer ein passendes Modell auswählt, sollte daher zuerst den Speicherbedarf und die Anforderungen der Anwendung klären und erst danach die aktuelle Verfügbarkeit und den Preis im eigenen Markt vergleichen.
