The Indianapolis Colts elevated wide receiver Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from their practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s Week 4 game against Washington in London. The move makes him available for the game; it does not confirm a permanent promotion or specify how much he will play.
What the Colts announced
Indianapolis announced the elevation on Saturday, October 3, ahead of its October 4 matchup with Washington at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The team said Westbrook-Ikhine was also elevated from the practice squad for Week 3 against Houston, and that he played in that game. What his elevation means for Week 4
Westbrook-Ikhine is available to the Colts for the London game. The team announcement does not state his expected role, snap share, route volume or target total, so his elevation alone is not evidence of a defined receiving workload.
The NFL’s updated Week 4 report lists Colts receivers Keenan Allen and Ashton Dulin as questionable. Neither the team announcement nor the league report says those designations caused Westbrook-Ikhine’s elevation, so a connection between the injury statuses and his move has not been confirmed. Career background
Westbrook-Ikhine joined Indianapolis as a free agent on March 18, 2026, participated in offseason activities and training camp, and signed with the Colts’ practice squad on August 31. The team’s October 3 release lists him with 94 career games and 42 starts across Indianapolis (2026), Miami (2025) and Tennessee (2020–24).
The same release gives his career totals as 137 receptions, 1,862 receiving yards, 13.6 yards per reception and 19 touchdowns. Those are career figures, not a projection for the Washington game. The Colts pronounce his last name “uh-KEEN-a.” Colts announcement

Fantasy outlook
For fantasy managers, the confirmed takeaway is roster availability, not a forecast of production. The available team and league reports do not establish whether Westbrook-Ikhine will receive meaningful snaps or targets against Washington. Treating the elevation itself as proof of a larger role would go beyond what those reports say.
