Square Enix’s new FINAL FANTASY VII REVELATION footage does not confirm a hot-springs gameplay feature. Officially announced footage highlights Weapon superbosses, summon Typhon and open-world traversal. Separately, a Gamescom hands-on preview describes Mideel as a hot-springs town—but that establishes the setting, not hot-springs interactions or special character conversations.
What does the new FF7 Revelation footage show?
Square Enix’s Gamescom announcement says the footage showcases reimagined Weapon superbosses, the summon Typhon and open-world traversal. The footage is part of the game’s broader exploration approach: the publisher says players can travel across the planet aboard the Highwind and drop in by parachute, as described in its official announcement.
Those are the gameplay details confirmed by the official announcements cited here. They do not announce a hot-springs activity, interaction system or character-conversation mechanic.
Is Mideel in FF7 Revelation?
A CGMagazine Gamescom hands-on preview identifies Mideel as a hot-springs town on an island south of the eastern continent. That supports describing Mideel as a location in the game and noting its hot-springs setting. The available preview passage does not describe players using the springs or triggering unique conversations there.

Are hot-springs interactions or unique conversations confirmed?
No—not by the official announcements or the hands-on passage cited above. A community post attributes a claim about hot springs at several locations and unique character conversations to director Naoki Hamaguchi. The underlying interview or primary statement is not available in the sources cited here, so that specific feature claim remains unverified. It should not be treated as something the new footage has confirmed.
