Yes. Prepare the podcast episodes as a video playlist with an authorized visual track, then use FFmpeg on your Linux server to send it to a YouTube Live ingest URL and stream key. For an audio-led playlist, a still image such as cover art can supply the video track. Use RTMPS when available, check the Live Control Room preview, and confirm you have rights to every episode and embedded recording or music.
The steps below are a practical implementation pattern based on YouTube and FFmpeg documentation, not a guarantee that a particular server, playlist, or command will work without adaptation.
Check that your YouTube channel can go live
YouTube’s general encoder eligibility requirements say the channel must be verified and have no live-streaming restrictions during the preceding 90 days. The operator must be at least 16 years old. Check channel readiness before preparing a long-running broadcast; these are general YouTube requirements, not India-specific exceptions. YouTube: Get started with live streaming
Prepare compatible playlist media
Make a stable episode order
Arrange episodes in the sequence you want viewers to hear them. FFmpeg’s concat demuxer can read a list of files sequentially, but the inputs need compatible stream properties. Differences in codecs, stream layouts, time bases, or inaccurate duration information can cause gaps or playback artifacts. Consult the documentation for the FFmpeg version installed on your server. If episodes do not match, normalize them into compatible media first or use another playlist-capable playout workflow. FFmpeg concat demuxer documentation

#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Add a video track
YouTube Live is a video destination. For an audio podcast, combine the audio with a still image such as episode artwork, a waveform, captions, or another visual you are authorized to use. The visual-track suggestion is an implementation choice for an audio-led show; YouTube’s encoder instructions do not prescribe podcast artwork.
Create the YouTube Live broadcast
- Open YouTube Studio and go to Create > Go live to enter Live Control Room.
- Create or select the live stream and copy its current ingest URL and stream key.
- Choose the RTMPS ingest URL when available. YouTube recommends RTMPS because it encrypts the feed in transit; the ordinary RTMP URL may appear by default, so check the protocol before copying it.
- Keep the stream key private. Treat it like a password: do not put it in a public script repository, shared shell history, or logs. YouTube’s encoder workflow is described in its live encoder setup instructions.
Send the playlist from Linux with FFmpeg
A straightforward architecture is to render the episodes and visual track into a single playlist video, then have FFmpeg read it in real time and send the encoded output to YouTube. This illustrative command assumes the input file already has both audio and video:

RTMPS or HLS?
RTMPS is the simpler recommended route for ordinary encoder output. YouTube also supports HLS, but it has higher latency than RTMP and adds specific requirements: HTTPS POST/PUT, TS segments of 1–4 seconds, a rolling playlist with no more than five outstanding segments, and no encryption beyond HTTPS. For a conventional audio playlist broadcast, choose RTMPS unless you have a reason and a workflow that require HLS. YouTube encoder settings · YouTube HLS ingestion requirements

Preview, test, and keep the stream running
Check the signal before going public
- Start FFmpeg and wait for the incoming signal in Live Control Room.
- Inspect the preview for both picture and audio; check that the artwork or other visual appears and the playlist is playing in the intended order.
- Verify the public watch page and monitor stream health after going live.
- Test the route from the actual server before relying on it for a continuous broadcast. YouTube advises allowing about 20% upload-bandwidth headroom above the total stream bitrate. YouTube live streaming tips
Plan for duration and recovery
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that a longer broadcast will be archived uninterrupted or indefinitely. For longer operation, arrange process supervision and a restart strategy on the Linux server, and verify current archive behavior separately. YouTube live encoder setup
Copyright and India-specific considerations
You need rights to retransmit every episode and every embedded third-party work, including music, clips, and guest recordings. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content and may show a placeholder, interrupt or terminate a stream, or apply a strike. As YouTube puts it: “All live streams are scanned for matches to third-party content, including copyrighted content in the form of another live broadcast.” If a rights owner has licensed material for your channel, ask them to add the channel to their Content ID allowlist; a license alone may not prevent an interruption. - Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.

The official YouTube encoder and account guidance cited here gives general requirements; it does not establish a separate India-specific ingest configuration. Being in India does not, on this evidence, change or waive channel eligibility, copyright enforcement, or encoder settings. This guide does not establish local network reliability, regional service availability, or Indian legal advice, so confirm those separately where they affect your production.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you would rather not maintain an always-on Linux server, StreamNeo runs uploaded videos as a 24/7 YouTube stream from the cloud. Upload your recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. Nothing has to stay on at home; the stream continues with your computer off. It streams each upload as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month.
