On a computer, right-click the video player and select Loop. In the mobile app, open Settings → Additional settings → Loop video. On a TV or console, open the playback controls or Settings and choose Repeat. Labels and control placement can vary by device and app version.
Loop a forest video on a computer
- Open the forest video’s YouTube watch page.
- Right-click inside the video player.
- Select Loop. When the video ends, YouTube repeats that same video.
YouTube’s official instructions cover looping a video or playlist on repeat: Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.
Loop a video in the YouTube mobile app
- Open the forest video in the YouTube app.
- Tap the video, then open Settings → Additional settings → Loop video.
- Turn on Loop video.
The exact menu wording or placement may differ across app interfaces; consult YouTube’s device-specific help if you do not see the setting.
Repeat a video on a TV or console
- Start the video in the YouTube app on your TV or console.
- Open the playback controls or Settings.
- Choose Repeat and check that it indicates the current video will repeat.
You do not need a new TV for looping: YouTube documents repeat playback on computers and mobile devices as well as TVs and consoles. A TV is simply an option if you prefer a larger screen.

Looping is not the same as Autoplay
Loop repeats the video you chose. Autoplay starts another related video after the current one ends. If you want only the forest scene to continue, enable Loop or Repeat for it and turn Autoplay off if it is enabled. Autoplay settings may differ by device. See YouTube’s looping help for the repeat control.
For a forest video embedded on a website
This is only for site builders; ordinary viewers can use the YouTube controls above. Google’s embedded-player documentation says to set the IFrame player’s loop parameter to 1. For a single-video embed, also set playlist to the same video ID so it repeats: YouTube Embedded Players and Player Parameters.

If the video does not repeat
- A different video starts: that is Autoplay, not Loop. Turn off Autoplay and enable Loop or Repeat on the forest video.
- You cannot find the control: the documented path depends on the device. Try the computer player’s right-click menu, the mobile app’s Additional settings, or the TV/console playback controls.
- The video stops for another reason: Loop controls whether the selected video repeats; it does not guarantee uninterrupted playback, remove ads, or determine the video’s availability or quality.
