To keep a prerecorded rain video repeating, use YouTube’s built-in Loop control; you do not need to restart a live broadcast or install anything. On a computer, right-click the player and choose Loop. In the mobile app, open Settings → Additional settings → Loop video. On a TV or game console, open the playback controls and choose Repeat until the currently playing video is selected. These controls repeat a video, not an active live broadcast.
Loop a rain video on your device
These are YouTube Help’s documented steps. Menu placement and wording can vary by app version or locale.
Computer
- Open the rain video’s watch page.
- Right-click inside the video player.
- Select Loop. The video repeats continuously.

Mobile
- Open the video in the YouTube app.
- Tap Settings, then Additional settings.
- Tap Loop video.
TV or game console
- While the video is playing, press down on the remote or controller to open playback controls.
- Select Repeat until the control indicates Repeat • Currently playing.
You can also find the Repeat toggle in Settings while watching.
Repeat one video or a whole playlist
If you want only the current rain video to repeat, activate the single-video loop control. If you want several videos to play in sequence and then start over, use the playlist’s Loop control. Within a playlist, activate Loop again until a “1” appears in the loop icon to repeat only the current item. Those are separate repeat states, so check the icon before leaving playback unattended.

Can you loop an active YouTube live stream?
No—not with the ordinary video Loop control. An active live stream is a real-time broadcast, rather than a finished video. If DVR is enabled and available, you can pause, rewind within the available live buffer, and resume; playback continues from the point where you paused. You cannot seek to a point before the broadcast began.
YouTube says DVR capabilities, including pause and resume, may be limited or unavailable for streams longer than 12 hours. Apple TV, Apple AirPlay, and older app versions may also have lower rewind limits. See YouTube Help: Turn on DVR on live streams.

What happens after the live broadcast ends?
A channel may post highlights or a replay after a live stream ends; if it does, the replay appears as a video and can be looped with the ordinary controls above. Replay availability depends on the channel posting one. YouTube can automatically archive streams shorter than 12 hours, but warns that streams exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all.
