You can keep devotional videos streaming to YouTube around the clock by running a playlist encoder on an India-region cloud server, then sending its output to a YouTube Live broadcast. The server must have the rights-cleared video files, enough sustained outbound bandwidth, and monitoring and recovery procedures. YouTube describes 24/7 channel feeds as a use case, but its automatic archive guidance applies to streams under 12 hours—not an uninterrupted all-day broadcast.
How the setup works
The stream has four parts: video files you are allowed to use, an encoder that plays them in a loop, a server with a stable connection to YouTube Live, and a YouTube broadcast connected to that encoder. The server can be a cloud VM or dedicated server in India. Its location does not change the rights requirements or YouTube’s recommended encoder settings.
YouTube distinguishes the encoder’s delivery settings (a liveStream resource) from the broadcast viewers see (a liveBroadcast). You do not need to use the API to set up a basic stream: YouTube Live Control Room provides a workflow for creating or scheduling a broadcast and obtaining the stream URL and key.
Before you rent or configure a server
Check channel eligibility and lead time
YouTube Help says an encoder-based live stream requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions during the previous 90 days. Enabling live streaming for the first time can take up to 24 hours, so verify eligibility and enable the feature before your planned launch.

- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Clear the whole playlist for continuous use
“Devotional” does not mean copyright-free. A prayer or composition may be old while a particular performance, arrangement, recording, lyric display, photograph, or video has separate rights. Obtain permission or use material with a clear license that covers continuous YouTube streaming and the territories where it will be available.
YouTube’s live terms require the necessary rights for worldwide exploitation of live content on Google services, including music licensing rights from artists, record labels, publishers and other royalty participants, as well as compliance with applicable laws. Keep written licenses or permissions accessible, and check whether their terms cover continuous streaming, the intended territories, and any visual material as well as the audio.

YouTube says it scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A match can cause a placeholder to appear, interrupt the stream, or terminate it. Even licensed material may be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel. If a stream stops, YouTube advises checking the YouTube Studio dashboard for strikes.
Choose a server based on the workload, not just the region
Compare India-region availability, sustained CPU or GPU capacity for your chosen encoder and resolution, outbound bandwidth and transfer charges, storage, restart controls, monitoring, and support. A workflow that loops already-encoded files may have different compute needs from one that transcodes video in real time; establish which workload your encoder will perform before selecting a server. No particular Indian provider, server size, price, or continuous-use allowance is established here, so verify those details directly with the provider.

Budget for recurring compute and bandwidth charges. A rented VM avoids buying a local server but does not eliminate ongoing service costs. An owned physical server adds hardware, power, connectivity, and maintenance obligations. The actual total depends on the server configuration and provider terms.
Set up the playlist stream
- Verify and enable live streaming. In YouTube, confirm the channel is verified and has no live-streaming restriction that would make it ineligible. Enable live streaming and allow up to 24 hours for first-time activation.
- Prepare the media. Put the cleared video files in server-accessible storage and build the intended playlist or loop in an encoder that supports playing uploaded files continuously and sending a live output to YouTube. Keep a separate source copy so a playlist or storage problem does not remove your only copy.
- Select the broadcast settings. In YouTube Live Control Room, create or schedule a broadcast. Copy the stream URL and stream key shown for the broadcast into the encoder’s YouTube output settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it, include it in public screenshots, or leave it in a shared configuration.
- Configure the encoder and connection. Use RTMPS where supported. For H.264, YouTube recommends 10 Mbps for 1080p at 30 frames per second, or 6 Mbps for 720p at 30 frames per second. Use constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval; YouTube says the interval should not exceed four seconds. These are platform recommendations for those specific H.264 resolutions and frame rates, not a guarantee that a particular server or source file will work reliably.
- Allow network headroom. YouTube recommends 20% spare bandwidth and advises testing actual outbound speed. As a planning example, a 10 Mbps stream needs at least 12 Mbps of usable outbound capacity to leave 20% above the stream bitrate. That is headroom for the stream, not a promise that a provider’s advertised speed will be continuously available. Check whether the provider applies transfer caps or rate limits.
- Start and verify the broadcast. Start the encoder, then inspect the YouTube preview and stream-health indicators in Live Control Room. Start the broadcast in YouTube when the preview is arriving as expected. Confirm that the picture and sound are present and that the playlist advances; a running encoder process alone does not prove viewers are receiving a healthy stream.
- Monitor and plan recovery. Decide who or what will notice an encoder exit, loss of outbound connectivity, or a YouTube interruption, and how the encoder will be restarted. Keep the source files separate from the process, and test the restart procedure before relying on it for an all-day channel. YouTube notes that network interruptions can break a stream.
Plan around the 12-hour archive limit
YouTube Help states that streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that one uninterrupted broadcast longer than 12 hours will be automatically archived. If preserving a replay matters, plan the live schedule around sessions shorter than 12 hours and verify the resulting archive in YouTube Studio after each session. A restart or new broadcast should be treated as a separate session; confirm the transition and archive behavior in your own channel rather than assuming a continuous archive.

This archive qualification is separate from whether a feed can run all day: YouTube’s API documentation describes a 24/7 channel feed as a use case, but that is not an assurance that a longer-than-12-hour stream will be archived automatically.

- You cannot start a broadcast: Check channel verification, live-stream eligibility, and whether first-time live-stream activation has completed. If the channel has a live-stream restriction, resolve that before retrying.
- YouTube shows no incoming video: Confirm that the encoder is running, the stream URL and key match the broadcast, and the correct broadcast is selected. Recheck the preview in Live Control Room before starting the event.
- The stream health degrades or drops: Check actual server outbound speed and provider rate limits, then compare available capacity with the target bitrate plus headroom. YouTube recommends 20% spare bandwidth; a connection that only just matches the stream bitrate has no such margin.
- The stream is interrupted after playing third-party material: Check YouTube Studio for strikes and review the rights for the specific recording, performance, lyrics, and visuals. A license may not prevent interruption if the rights owner has not allowlisted the channel.
- The encoder stops or the playlist stalls: Check the encoder process, server storage access, and whether the playlist can still read its source files. Use your planned monitoring and restart procedure, then verify the new incoming stream in YouTube rather than assuming the restart restored the broadcast.
- The replay is missing or incomplete: Check whether the session exceeded YouTube’s stated under-12-hour automatic archive window and inspect YouTube Studio. Do not treat an uninterrupted stream longer than 12 hours as covered by the automatic archive assurance.
