Using that credit toward the U.S. PlayStation Store’s $99.99 GTA VI: Ultimate Edition pre-order brings the effective cost of the wallet funds needed for the purchase to $90. The game itself is still listed at $99.99 on PlayStation Store; this is a gift-card discount, not a $90 game listing. The promotion may end without notice, so check Newegg’s checkout before buying.
How the $90 GTA 6 Ultimate Edition deal works
Notebookcheck reported that Newegg was selling a digital $100 PlayStation Store gift card for $90 after applying code TEFF427 at checkout. The offer was described as limited-time and capped at three cards per customer. At face value, $100 in U.S. wallet credit covers the $99.99 U.S. PlayStation Store pre-order, while the buyer has paid $90 for the credit. The exact promotion and its availability are retailer-reported and can change; see Notebookcheck’s October 3, 2026 deal report and confirm the code works at Newegg checkout before ordering.
The $90 is the reported cost of the gift card, not Sony’s price for the game. The U.S. listing continues to show Ultimate Edition at $99.99. Any remaining wallet balance stays in the account rather than being refunded as cash.
What the two PS5 editions cost and include
The U.S. PlayStation Store lists both digital editions. Their stated prices and Ultimate’s additional contents are:

Can PlayStation Store gift-card credit pay for a pre-order?

Before purchasing the card, check that it is issued for the same country or region as the PlayStation account that will redeem it. PlayStation voucher codes must match the account region, and wallet credit or content cannot be transferred between accounts. A U.S. Newegg card therefore suits an account eligible to redeem U.S. codes; PlayStation explains the restrictions in its wallet voucher support guidance.
Is there a physical Ultimate Edition?
No. Rockstar says physical copies are supplied as a code in a box, with no disc, and that there is no physical Ultimate Edition. A Standard Edition owner can buy the digital Ultimate Edition Upgrade through the PlayStation Store after redeeming the game code. For activation, Rockstar advises buying from a retailer in the same country as the platform account; see Rockstar Support’s edition and code guidance.
